Also one correction to this is that endogenous type doesn't mean that you'll have to take drugs for the rest of your life. With drugs and therapy you can actually repair connections in the brain so that your brain will function again normally without the drugs. Obviously this will take time and the depression might reoccur but still it is not necessarily for the rest of your life.

I disagree with the statement about humor in reactive versus neurochemical depression. Some neurochemically depressed people can still appreciate humor. I think the problem is the framing of the depression types as either/or, when depressions better be described using a spectrum. A person can be depressed because of some combination of life circumstances and endogenous factors, not necessarily just one or the other.

Good to understand. However, no one is a 'little bit ocd'. the personality trait is nothing like the illness. An obsession is an intrusive thoughts that intrudes on your consciousness with a compulsion whever it be mental argument or physical, that keeps the obsession tormenting the patient for over an hour a day. depression, anxiety, exacerbated giult, doubt are all symptoms.
