Fans think you just go in the studio, sing for 45 minutes, and you're done. They don't know about sitting around listening to the same beat for 40 minutes tryna catch something or listening to the same take over and over and over. I love the art of music, the environment, all of it.

@@13al200 right, the magic moment where you've been sitting with it for a while and you mumble something and all the sudden you got one. Those are the best. Of course it's nice when you catch something right away, but it's super rewarding catching one after beating your head for an hour.

Justin was really blessed to have a young hungry Neptunes and Timbaland pouring all their energy into his debut solo album. Not saying he's not talented in his own right. But they gave his sound shape, form, and that edge I doubt it would've had otherwise.

Yea, but that is no 'accident' it goes both ways, Pharrell could work with anyone even then, so he wanted to work with Justin. I once went to a Black Eyed Peas show in Vancouver, that was just immediately after the release of their big first hits, ie "Where is the love" had just hit, and no one really knew them yet, so they were playing in a smaller downtown club. But Justin had been playing up at Whistler and wanted to come down to play with them, so he finished his show during the day, and flew down by Helicopter so he could play with them. I was standing next to Cameron Diaz in the crowd watching jfor part of the show. But they played the first half of the show without him, then when he arrived they literally just made shit up, and Justin and Will-i-am just seriously made music on the fly, and danced with the rest of the crew, and wow, never seen that kind of talent in my life, to riff like that together, it blew my mind that anyone could be that talented to be able to do that. And there was also believe it or not, Blade himself, Wesley showed and up and was dancing on stage and keeping up just fine with Justin and a young Fergie, etc. I seriously after that had so much more respect for Timberlake. I have no doubt that talent is why someone as talented as Timberland, Neptunes choose to work with him. Timberlake could not have had better people to help him, but he definitely deserves his success, they guy is a musical genius himself...
@CedRockStarr
@CedRockStarr 4 жыл бұрын
@@Arrogan28 it’s talent, but it’s also MONEY. 🙄🙄🙄 Cmon bruh. Don’t get me started... And NO, he could just “work with anybody”. That entire album was supposed to be for Michael Jackson and Prince. They didn’t want to “WORK WITH” Pharrell/the Neptunes at that time. So no, that shit true. Get out’cho feelings about it. We all know why black artists and producers reach back/search for and nice little Caucasian pop artist to sign or do their material. And it’s to exploit their whiteness and cash in. That ced, YES, Justin Timberlake is “talented”. And Bieber and GaGa, and Vanilla Ice, FERGIE, Eminem, whoever. Some are better than others and genuinely “good peoples” but it’s def a money grab
@Arrogan28
@Arrogan28 4 жыл бұрын
@@CedRockStarr All i can tell you is Justine is one of the most talented muscians i have ever seen, and he and Will-i-am that night blew away the entire crowd with shit never seen since, ie making up music for hours with no set play list or anything just jamming music for hours and it was really fucking good. And i think most jazz is obnoxious and the equivalent of a bad student film, this was something i have not seen other muscians able to do, or even close, building bridges, verses etc on the fly and pulling that shit back in later with a variation and that then ending up down another completely different vibe, etc. Say what you want, but i have seen muscians try to do what they did and fail everytime. It is no wonder now that both those muscians Will and Justine could produce songs in hours, complete and it will be as good and interesting as the albums artists get producers to tweak for a year. Yea was there money considerations, sure but as you just listed off the bigger money was not the ‘white boy’ so your story contradicts itself. Unless you believe that ‘white boys’ only steal talent from minoritites and in which case your view of the world is fucking black and white... clearly talent is possible no matter have much melatonine you have in your skin, lack or amount of pigment in your skin doesn’t define character or talent, which is what your text auggests...

I'm 17 tomorrow and when I was younger I lived the vibe of the early 2000s. It was awesome but once smartphones and computers got advanced everybody got sucked into them and everything revolves around that now. I see it especially with kids my age. I have a phone myself and do enjoy indulging on it at times but when I'm in the presence of others I'd rather enjoy each others vibe. Others my age and even a bit older always have a phone to distract them from connecting with others. I'm a drummer and I jam n hang with my cousin and people his age mainly. My cousin is 21 I think. 90s kids and I fit and get a long with them. I feel like most kids my age act like they have a stick up their ass. They all want to be the same. I like vibing and jamming with older kids they seem more organic and embrace their weirdness and individuality but kids my age ridicule each other if their not an exact clone of everyone else. And they weren't like that when we were kids I watched technology and society conform all of the kids my age into what they are. Sorry I'm rambling but this made me remember the good times and good music of my childhood. And I just reread this I say the word "kids" a lot. Its fuking true people try to act so mature but to me people are a kid until like 25 or 30. By kid I just mean not so mature and adult I guess it would be considered a teen but that's just an older kid!😂

@@yungsouljah2012thats not his point. Michael was way beyond this type of sound and you can tell that by listening to “Invincible” he was pouring his own creativity into new digital sounds. He gave us Butterflies/Heaven Can Wait/You Rock My World but he also gave more modern sounds and technology based sounds than before. Even during his final years 07-09 he worked on new sounds. Thats just the type of dude Mj was. Always innovating

JT had a fire ass solo debut. Justified was groovy as hell. The Super Bowl moment took away from him for me, he left Janet hanging. She never recovered and he skyrocketed after that.

Good Lord, plz know Janet Ms. Jackson if you're Nasty is doing just fine. She WAS treated differently by media solely for being a woman. CLASSIC double standard, & demonize the woman like "how dare you be sexual or comfortable with your body". And JT DIDN'T ASSAULT JANET,, SHE & JT CAME UP WITH THAT TOGETHER TO BE EDGY. NEVER EXPECTING IT TO TURN INTO NIPPLEGATE!!. SO STUPID!! PEOPLE ACTED LIKE THEY HAD JUST BLEW UP A HOSPITAL FULL OF KITTENS OR SOMETHING ! ITS STILL SHOCKING TO ME HOW THE ENTIRE COUNTRY FLIPPED OUT OVER A BOOB. OUR BODIES ARE BEAUTIFUL, JANET NOR JT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PUBLICLY SHAMED LIKE THEY WERE BAD PPL. ZERO KIDS SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTED, WENT BLIND, OR WERE PERMANENTLY SCARRED IF/WHEN THEY SAW JJ'S BOOB ON TV. I SAW IT LIVE AND IM FINE SO... LOOSEN UP AMERICA, EVERYONE'S SO UPTIGHT AND ALWAYS FOCUSING ON THE WRONG THINGS!!😞🥱😔

Love to see the bridge build between them for Rock Your Body. Such a blessing for them to get all this footage captured for JT's debut solo album. I remember watching it when it first came out but it's still fun to watch the process happen. It's like being a fly on the wall in the studio to witness the growth of a superstar solo artist in the making. Priceless videos of the Justified Sessions.
