I am a phasma main and I always lead the charge with her. I just always make sure to stay next to my teammates so they can't overrun me as easily. Because getting close quartered with a lightsaber is a bad time.

I don't think you mentioned her special charging melee. If you hit the staff button while running you do a sweet lunge and a staff swing. there is a one second animation after that but it's cool. i like hitting sabers with it cause it makes big sparks.

A few more things that I've learned: 1. Her blaster, like most other snipers in the game, has a secondary zoom. It's not that useful since it doesn't highlight enemies, but it's there for super-long range situations. 2. The "new" lunge animations for her staff strikes are wonky and should be used with caution and great timing. 3. She has some of the best hip-fire accuracy in the game, which means you only really need to zoom if your reticle is covering the entire enemy. Otherwise you can be guaranteed to get headshots even shooting from the hip.

I play captain phasma a lot and one thing I have learned is you CAN beat a close range hero in close combat with ur staff I usually only pull this off when standing in the circle for my droid and using the “survivor” ability with staff strikes this can help a lot in close combat but doesn’t work really if the hero knows what they are doing 😅

I just started playing again recently and had 0 skill with force users, so I tried out Phasma and hot dang she just kinda wrecked. I only died when someone with a lightsaber ran up to me (remember, I haven't played in a long time, so I forgot how to avoid them). She's definitely one of my favorite villains to play as. Also loved the Droid Commando. Very similar play style, I thought.

I use her as my main for all Villain games, very underrated. My mates used to make fun of me because I don't play as a saber character but now we win all our games by building around Phasma's torrent. She may seem weak but when it comes to a one v one against anyone, a skilled player can easily be the victor. Add one player as back up and GOLDEN. It's a toxic method but hella FUN!!

I would add Obi-Wan to Phasma's weaknesses. People forget that holding block towards the droid stops it from stunning you. Doing that in tandem with blocking Phasma shots (if you are decent at deflecting shots) can do some damage. Obi-Wan can use his Push, mind trick so the Phasma can't activate Survivor, and kill her with his Rush or basic attacks. Sure, you can do this with Anakin, Rey, or Luke, but they don't have as much stamina as Obi-Wan.

I saw a video explaining a lot of Hero's Star Cards don't do what they say exactly by somebody who has tested it. Example, Two of Phasmas Star Cards do what the other says. I forget which two but ita related to the droid she drops. Essentally the descriptions were placed on the wrong card. Lukes ability to deflect blaster bolts more accurately at 10% more stamina doesnt actually increase the accuracy but does increase stamina drain. There were a few other i was just wondering if there every was an update on those abilities

First off, I loved the video. However, as an ashamed MAX level Phasma, I have alOT of points for HvV and Showdown for Phasma as she is my favorite... This is also my opinion, I apologize. I had to edit this a few times too. Thank you and enjoy this HvV and Showdown mini-guide for Phasma. First off: That droid is your best friend and soulmate. Never leave the droid, but always pick it up and take it with you like a suitcase to utilize it in this mode completely. I would also whole heartedly disagree with the three worst opponents for HvV/Showdown. Luke and Han need to get close enough to do anything, plus they push you further into your droid space and away from them. Good positioning and dodging is important, and aim of course. And no self respecting Phasma would lose to a Finn in HvV, as long as you can aim. The three biggest counters to Phasma in HvV are easily Obi-Wan for his near infinite defense and ability to deflect everything back at you if he's smart, and mind trick. Anakin because he can pull you out of the droid space if you're unlucky, and even further push you away into his teammates/for himself to close in, with you at a disadvantage. However, a 1v1 or Showdown against an Anakin as Phasma is easy pickings. Always remember his low stamina, and try not to get ragdolled. And finally, Leia because of her E-11 blaster and the damage reduction + high damage + long firing time (if adding her best cards that everyone uses) she could easily out gun you if this Leia has common sense to strafe and aim for the head. Your best move is to run into her bubble and put your droid in the middle, it will still shock them through the bubble and the Leia would most likely be on cooldown to place a new bubble to get her while she's vulnerable. Don't let them camp it. The most important thing in HvV/Showdown is to always wait until the last moment before you activate your health, so you have the most time to get away/duke it out at full strength. A best Phasma in HvV is a mobile one, so don't be afraid to run up to your droid and hold the prompt button to pick it up. This is much more efficient than blowing it up, the stun and insta cooldown is worth so much more than the explosion and cooldown. You must constantly find the best place in the middle of the battle, not necessarily the map, to place the droid. For star cards, always run the first two he said because why wouldn't you, everyone loves health :D but for Showdown I would run the +0.35 second stun time after stunning two enemies for Showdown, or the starcard that gives the staff strikes last hit more damage (some people like that). For HvV, he's right about the killing 3 enemies to add 50% radius to the stun, but also use that stunning two enemies gives +0.35 sec stun time till you die ability too. It's strong if you're able to headshot the whole way through the 1.35 seconds. Remember that Phasma has a powerful staff ability that hits hard when used correctly, and she also has a double zoom on her gun that cuts out the heat vision but gives you a better zoom in (in red). Other than that, perfect video about everything else. I just couldn't sit there and watch my favorite modes not be discussed in depth, or at least, this is my annoying opinion. I literally kinda only play Phasma for gunners on Dark side, so... I hope this helps anyone who's in need of wanting to pick her up and master her. Cheers.

@@austin9444 Always, and I mean always, use the two cards that boost the health ability first and foremost. For the third card, you have a choice of two cards. 1. Is the card that after stunning two enemies with your droid, it increases stun time by 0.35 seconds. That's a really good card if you have to be a tank and people are rushing you/you need to get kills fast. The other card I would use for HvV would most definitely be the card that increases the radius of the droid by 50% after getting three kills with it active. The most important thing to note is that Phasma isn't like other blaster heroes, she's the tankiest out of every single one of them, even on par with Darth Vader if played correctly. Get up in their faces with your droid and gun/staff when your team is pushing, but also know when to stand back with your droid when the enemy team is being far too aggressive. another thing, that staff is seriously overpowered if you use it right. It can even parry light sabers like a real saber hero (at least I think it does, I seriously feel like I've seen it happen more than 100 times but the battles were hectic so who knows) so remember that you have that ability. Just don't rely on it, or else you'll be swinging at air half the time. Rundown: HvV cards are the two health ability cards, and the third card is a choice between 50% extra stun radius or 0.35 extra seconds on the stun. Cheers.

Well back in the days he was OP, Phasma's Droid's can go through Heroic Might and Retribution and cancel the abilities as it does no damage whatsoever. Not to mention that the droid will shoot back at him if he gets on it's sight (and if she's close it will alert Phasma that he's there so she faces him instead) and Pull Dominance does not give damage reduction and the animation is very long (and also there is a window between the start of the animation and when the pull takes effect so Phasma can prepare to roll away from the Pull) and does not have quite the reach without the Atraction star card so he will be forced take damage just to pull her away from the droid or he will be forced to block all the 6 consecutive shots from the droid before actually attempting the Pull which would allow enough time to either she to join the shooting galore or for her to flank him (or if he's close enough, get on his face so she can roll foward towards his back) and give him a good smack with the Staff or shoot him in the back, and all of that in a 1v1 situation. Sorry to said this but Phasma is, and has always been since his launch, Anakin's hard counter as she, of all the Blaster villlains, possess the best counter plays against him. All you need to do against Phasma with Luke is Jump and Push in mid-air to basically get her away from the droid (even better if ypu have the Star Card that allows him to push enemies further away) and then chase her with a Dash strike and start smashing her with the lightsaber or knock her again with Repulse. That's it
