Took me a bit, but your settings definitely help me a bit, i tweaked it so that i didnt lose any sanity, looked through the mirror and sat there, and bang got it, edgefield was definitely the move, ive gotten demon alot on that map but it didnt wanna hunt. Great video!

Whelp done at least 60 matches this try and I've managed to die to a Thaye twice within a minute but that is it. Guess I'll try again some other time!

ugh im sorry, it really is down to chance if you even roll a demon, 1/24 every time you start a match. It can be quite frustrating but you'll get it!

Thats rough, it took me about 5 hours or trying to get it originally, before i changed my game settings to this and then it took like 6 matches to get a Demon!

I died many times before 1 minute but the ability part is what kept me from the achievement too.

@mxrdis I spent like 3 hours trying to get this, I got so frustrated that I ended up just downloading a program that tells me what ghost I got. That way, if I didn't get a demon, I could just restart until I got it. I hate having to rely on RNG. That's why I don't feel bad about using external software to save time.

So why do you choose the mirror instead of the monkey paw? Thanks!

I ran the mirror because you can choose how long to engage - which changes how much sanity you lose. You cant really gauge how much sanity you will lose with the monkey paw. Not to mention, the monkey paw causes cursed hunts - I think this is a separate type of hunt from a normal ability hunt, which is what the Demon needs to do for you to get the achievement Doom Slayed. The mirror wont cause a cursed hunt if you look at it quickly, only if you break it (but you don't want to look at it long anyway). It also tells you where the ghost will likely spawn, and is right in the entry way of the map I was running. Hope this helps!

I swear you looked at the mirror for like 10 years. But to make sure couldn't you pop some sanity pills straight after aswell? Like carry one with you?

I did look at it pretty long tbh, longer than i meant to, but I still think it helped! Yes i could have, taking sanity pills would help restore any extra unwanted sanity loss for sure.
