Great tip! I never had heard of letting the first dip side dry, and then dipping the second side. I had always rinsed and masked the first side before dipping the second. I'm anxious to try one and see how it works for me. Thanks for posting the video.

Darren Turner Hey Darren, i tried to double dip today. I taped off where i wanted my first dip to stop, then when i took the tpe off and dip my second side, the seem didnt catch, but every where else did. Was it the adhesive on the tape that was still there that made my second dip not stick? Thanks.

Hey Darren, I'm about to hydro a flying v guitar body and want an all over finish as seamless as possible and your double dip looks exactly what I'm after. Any tips on what to do in terms of prep/masking for the first dip and should I do the front of the guitar first? Any advice would be welcome. Great tutorials.
@KeeWeeKustoms9 жыл бұрын
Durkar37 Hi mate, just so happens that my main love in life is guitar playing and I currently own 23 guitars...so I know a bit about this subject, lol. What I would do is do the sides and front in one dip and the back in a seperate dip. That way your seam will be right around the back edge and almost invisible. I would dip the back first then the front.
