Great reuse of material on the pheasant run, they should be happy birds, thanks John!

Looks good! Nice reuse of the trampoline. Only suggestion would be to tension wire the two center posts so that hard winds and heavy snow doesn't topple them. Blessings, Chris

game birds love low bush mate. makes them feel safe to have bushes to dart under. Happy birds live longer :) looking good my friend.

Handy video, once we move I will be doing the chicks, and others as well. Not for food, but education. Good job, keep them videos coming.

They lay better than you think! If you pick the eggs up daily, they will lay well into the Fall. With 4 hens you should get plenty of eggs to incubate. This year's pheasants are next year's layers. They need almost a full year to mature. Great looking pen bro! Make sure that top stays secure because they will test it! Wade

I think I may do a nest box like yours for my chickens (not that they're laying yet!). They need more shade, too. I like the ideas you come up with....

good Idea, Recycle and reuse.. that looks like it will work great. gotta get it a bit tighter. ya that looks great.. the 2 center posts works better that the 1 post. you may want to put a board attaching along the top of the 2 posts for more stability.. great video thanks and thumbs up..

Hill ingenious. Flat-land ingenious, for that matter. I was wondering what you were going to do with those birds, that can fly like crows, and run like deer. Good going. I always love coming to see what you're up to, because it's always creative, interesting, and fun.

Looks good. I have heard that if you clip the wing feathers, they cant fly... but then they grow back and you have to do it again...lol..... any thoughts?
@oneacrehomestead177610 жыл бұрын
I do this with my chickens. You only clip one side and they will grow back after the next molt, which should be before winter sometime.

MacGuyver lives! Dude that's a good job and I know how hard you worked! But I got a question....don't pheasants like to sit up in trees or limbs? I think I've seen them in the local wildlife zoo's and stuff and I know I saw them sitting up in like big limbs and such that were in their pens, at least it looked like they liked to roost up high off the ground...so are you going to put in any tree limbs or stuff like that?
