Isnt the stick and the moisty environment for the moss, super good for mold? You also put honey in the stick
@MrsRabbit85 жыл бұрын
I had a problem with mold. Airflow is key. Also springtails help. Also, a biological spray, with beneficial bacteria and enzymes helps a bunch, sprayed once a week. Using distilled water the rest of the time. Yep, i don't put honey or other foods on permanent environment, soaks in and grows mold.

@piesaurus60084 жыл бұрын
I’m late but he probably bought non fertilized soil and collected the clay from nature so it wasn’t chemical filled or anything but if you are planning to make one I wouldn’t recommend taking soil from places just in case it has pesticides and stuff

Dude... Why didnt you just hook up a tube and make it more attractive for them to move? So they can move when they feel the need to move.. I think you gave the colony much stress which was not needed right?
@wolfsbane1235 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree. He could have just covered the tube in baby powder mixed with alcohol and put it in the aquarium so they could move in on their time but not climb the tube to escape.
@AntsScandinavia5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I understand you concern, yes I could have done that. However, from my experiance, thease guys are just like Lasius Niger, they dont move if they are not forced too xd. Plus, it went well didnt it?
