This is my 68 month hair update, so 5 years and 8 Months of hair growth that I reached in February 2017. Man growing long hair for 68 months.

Nice hair length. I want to cut my heavy hair lately. I am tired of the weight and tension on my scalp and neck. Cant tie it up. Do you also experience that with your hair length?

Yes, I do, especially during year 4! I did the same as you and talked to other long haired guys who gave me support and it helped. Do you have it in a middle part? for best balance. I sometimes make a top knot as seen in the video. Buns at a different angle tend to pull too hard... If your hair feels heavy, I would suggest you to do a cider vinegar + water rinse after a wash. When I tried this for the first time, my hair felt much lighter. Another tip: Remember the good things that you enjoy about having long hair and it is easier to deal with the bad things. You don't have to decide today, you can still think about it for a month or so and then cut it. I'm obviously biased but it eventually depends on you. I hope this helps! :)

I think so too, the ends look thicker and the hair in total looks a bit fluffier. It was one day after the wash, maybe that's the reason? Not sure.

Yeah it could be possible. This time I've changed my routine a little. I used twice the amount of apple cider vinegar for a higher concentration in the rinse mix and also I didn't put coconut oil into the ends for 2 days. I guess that maybe both makes the hair lighter.

I prefer to trim them myself. I'd recommend doing that! If it is damaged, do it, if it is not damaged, you don't need to trim it. Keep it growing.

So beautiful! Isn't it something when you realize your hair is really long! Like it being longer than your shirt. I used to accidentally sit on mine- that was a surprise! And when you button your pants, make sure it's not tucked in the back. I've done that- oops!

Yeah, it is kind of exciting! I made the same experience with sitting on my hair and accidently tucking it in the trousers! :D Not a big problem though.

What technique do you use to bun your hair??

I start like a ponytail (on the top of my head)but instead of pulling it all through, I make 1 loop and leave some ends not pulled through. I pull the loop longer until the ends and the loop are roughly the same length. Then I take loop and ends together as one (twist the hair band) the and make another loop with both. So I basically have two half buns applied recursively... hahah.
