Superb. At the same level as my favorite Queen ever, Roberta Peters. Brava!

Quelle violente cruauté mais, et voilà l’énorme prouesse technique de Mme Devielhe, aussi avec des pianissimi pervers….. Quel immense talent !

In terms of technical accomplishment and, especially, sheer musicianship, Devieilhe has very few rivals in the currently active generation of singers. She may not have the most immediately impresive instrument, as some larger and naturally richer voices, but it's so perfectly used and so pristine, so reliable, so secure up to the tiniest details, and she finds so many colors and subtle dynamics in her naturally lean and girlish voice that I can only put her among the very best opera singers of the last decades. Have you guys heard her Rameau album? It's probably among my top 10 opera albums ever recorded, pure artistry, and so full of personality, of an individual take on that repertory! She is one of those rare singers that can extract the full beauty and meaning of any score she puts back to life in her voice, she makes it sound even more beautiful than it already sounds with less musical performers.

Got to look it up! 👍👍 Rameau is a favorite of mine.

Absolutely adorable singing, acting, phrasing - I also adore her because she’s so natural, simply sounds always fresh / taking care of her roots (lyric), never forcing (like Dessay later). My (not really) new “dream-voice”!❤🙏

Esecuzione ricercata e artisticamente elevata. Una vera artista, capace di porgere frasi, far splendere la musica e raccontare qualcosa, al di là del solo e puro canto. Brava!

Watch her Olympia, with the beehive. Brilliant vocal and staging, no doll shenanigans.

I love the added dynamics. Mozart doesn't use a lot of them so it's up to the performer to make the music more interesting. You need to add your own phrasing.

The technique is almost flawless but the interpretation is bizarre. The pianissimo F6 is gorgeous but she sounds like she's come for tea when she's actually come to kill 😂

while Edda Moser and Diana Damrau who sound like they sing Jingle Bells sound as if they are about to kill... no one can sing this aria viciously

C’est indéniablement du beau travail, mais je m’ennuie et ne ressens absolument rien. Peut-être ai-je trop écouté Edda Moser…
