What's the process of converting to Hindu should someone want to?
@lococomrade3488 Жыл бұрын
@Ron Mckee fellow American here.. I dont think you need any official ceremony.. Hinduism is a very ancient and very complex and very varied system. Just as there are many branches of Christianity (Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Mormon, Amish, etc) there are many branches of Hinduism. The term is honestly a large misnomer. The ancient meaning of "Hindu" really only meant "those people on the other side of the Indus River" ..so it encompassed a whole lot, that they themselves might not have encompassed. It's definitely worth the deep dive. I'd also suggest looking into the branches of Buddhism. Meditation and kindness. ❤

Sir I think the sculptures on the pillars which you mentioned in your video as Demon Keechak are Dwarf Sculptures. In Indian culture it can be said that dwarf figures can be divided into 5 types: 1. Garland Bearers 2. Carriers and Alantes 3. Bracket figures 4. Artistic and Decorative Figures 4. Mythical Figures 5. Gods. The Demon Keechak holding the Ceiling with Pillars are the 3rd type of Dwarf Sculpture (Bracket Types) as they are seen linking up with their hands the celings and pillars with their knees on the pillar and hands raised up to support the ceiling. I believe the figure in the dark part of the temple with face on the stomach can represent more than one symbolic meaning. It is a dwarf figure as the Bracket Type but with more than one symbolic meaning. There is a similar sculpture in Rudra Shiv mandir in Tala, a small village in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh which also has faces on each limbs of the body representing the whole universe contained in Shiva. I hope you find this somewhat useful. BIG BIG BIG FAN OF YOU WORK SIR.

Yes ... We too have the same sculptures ...(the stomach faced ) life size ... at the entrance in Vaidyanatheshwara temple ... Tala"kadu ... Karnataka .. Its interesting .... The place name is Tala"kadu ... (A Preston forest)...same Shiva temple ...same Tala' village name ... Only praveen can decode 😎 But .... Here... in these life size statues " ... are actually a3 D/5D versions .... I mean If u watch straight... They look normal human figures If u watch them close" the belly face becomes Nandi'/the bull .. From side ...they look like some other species ...

Hardik, thank you for the information, but notice 2 arms with their hands on the knees and 2 other arms coming from the back with their hands open in the air near the upper face. This face reminds me of Maitreya Buddha (or the "Laughing Bhudda"/Budai from Chinese Chan Buddhism), but the face from the belly, due to the nose and unibrow, resembles more a Buddha more commonly depicted in southern.countries. These 2 bodies merging is similar to the 5 bodies/elements sculpture Praveen presented earlier, so it might be representing the connection of the 2 Buddhas and Buddhism philosophies.

Great video Praveen! I find it fascinating, that while all the very ancient civilizations, used some of the exact same building techniques, as in quarrying, polygonal stone fitting, and hydraulic/irrigation system, they all had very different styles. The Sumerians had little adornment, and carvings, compared to the Indian, south east Asia, and Mesoamerican sites. They all, clearly had different artistic styles, and imagery, that the developers, wanted. The Indian ruins, are just the best, because so much of the story, is left on the walls ceilings and floors, for guys like us to look at, and decipher. Thanks you for the interpretations, and meaning behind these fabulous places. You put a lot of the pieces together for me, and it I appreciate it!

Love your videos Praveen. Here's something you can talk about and you can take to the bank. Mahabarata war began October 26, 5561 BCE. Last time in 10K years that Arundathi "walked" ahead of Vashista. Namaskaram.

Parveen is such an observant & super intelligent person His ability to apply meanings & explanations to stone structures is facinating. I drink in so much of his knowledge & his own ancient history of his country & lays it out in such a way as to allow us to penetrate the hidden depths Preserved for such long time periods. There are few areas of ancient civilisations that remain intact & so much is lost, we cannot form those concepts of such a vast age without intact information. However the structures in India have remain vertually untouched from eons ago Parveen is the translator of this Sacred knowledge & its so mind boggling at times & proves that A highly advanced culture was in place & at times, the older the structures the more advanced its Inceptors were. Thank you so much for these brilliant videos from this marvellous man - Parveen Mohan Peace 🇬🇧👧

I been binge watching all your videos. So very interesting. I never knew about the temples. Absolutely amazing. Your channel goes right along with a few others I like to watch. Like Jon Levi and Michelle Gibson. There’s definitely things about the past that’s been kept hidden from us. We would never know about these things if not for folks like you. Thank you
