For water based beard products, like wash or conditioner, this is one of my favorite preservatives. I have worked with this ingredient personally when consulting a big box retailer company. Research with things like preservatives is so difficult to weed through, because there is so much money behind both sides of the research.

Kind off yes. It is actually stabilized as a complete formulation. Hence, it is not that one ingredient that you are inhaling, which might be toxic. Also, toxicity reports are made when one ingredient is inhaled in a large quantity.

Thank you so very much! You answered my question within 3 minutes! I used Trader Joe’s Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum on my face last night and some of it got into my eye. It was itchy before I fell asleep, but in the morning my eye was swollen. Now I know how to use it and to avoid it near my eyes , nose, and mouth. Respectively I will I will avoid products that I need on my face with Phenoxyethanol in it. Thank you!💗🌼
