One thing you didn't take into consideration is the placebo effect, people are more confident wearing a "pheromone-based fragrance" because they expect a positive outcome. Not chemical science, but psychology-related.

Related, I saw an article recently about babies emitting something called Hexadecanal from their heads and it having different effects on aggression in men/women (as an evolutionary protection mechanism for the child). Only one study though.

My biggest complement getter is probably Armaf Hunter Intense- it is a mix of many popular crowd pleasers- Invictus Intense + Lacoste White + Cherry vibe (opening phase that lasts about 3h) and Sauvage but without pepper and more fruity so it has a little bit more depth + little of Dylan Blue vibe (second phase of this scent that lasts about 4-6h). It is very well balanced- sweet but not to much + very fresh from the beginning to the end. Projection is quite good- i get about 3h of arm's lenght projection with huge scent trail and after that it comes a bit closer to the skin but still can be noticed. Lasts good, projects good, smells good, costs only 18$ but also has 0 uniqueness and is quite synthetic. Cheapie but gets me more complements than the more expensive ones :)

Such an interesting topic. I’ve always been curious about pheromones. Now that I’m more interested in fragrances, I tend to believe scents are really just emotional and tied to memories for most of us, and that’s what makes them appealing. I will say that despite what scents I prefer to wear, I get the most complements on my almost invisible clean smelling perfumes, so I’d be curious to compare the notes and see if I’ve ever worn anything with pheromones.

I've never been on the pheromone wagon so this is interesting. If you're attractive to someone that's check #1. If you can hold an intelligent conversation, check #2. If you smell good as well, check #3. I think fragrance is important but I don't think it will compensate for #1 or #2 (even with a magical mystery pheromone). I almost never get a compliment; but I wear fragrance for me so it doesn't matter.

Hi Ashley, I really like your channel and value your opinion on perfumes. This is a very interesting topic to me. In the early 1980s I did some studies on a substance called Androstenol that had pheromone type activity attributed to it. Our study showed demonstrable and statistically significant changes in evoked potentials (brain wave excitent) when this odor was present. A later study out of the UK showed that these type odors could cause a pregnant female chimpanzee to spontaneously miscarry (known as the Davis effect). After that pheromone research came to a halt.

I only wanted to turn up the volume on a scent I made here..it lasts all day but the silage is weak. Is there a way to fix that? Um using the best ingredients so I'm confused as to why even if I bathe In it..no one can tell.
@ashleyinparisvideos2 жыл бұрын
While quality is of course important, it’s not the reason you’re not getting projection. Some materials just aren’t big projectors
