I want your tampon collection Ashley! I want to see you tampons twisted, shoved and associating wipings zones with you would be a plus. Love the idea of you pummeled and pumped and sound powdered and you showing off your tampon hauls

Good lord, Salome is an absolute masterpiece and is so incredibly sexy. I haven’t smelled any others on this list, but have been sampling Arquiste El this week and have been really loving it! I see it gets compared with Kouros…have you tried it?

I gravitate towards the original Encre Noire! Maybe a few more wearings and the Extreme version will grow on me more too. Oud Wood is a big fave!

Lover of the Le Male line from JPG! The original is a staple in my collection, I never tire of the airy comfy sweet opening. Le Beau Le Parfum as an absolute beast and to me seems to out perform all the other Le Males. Really loving the fresh pillow coconut, very pleasent and desserty. Le Parfum really is all the best parts of the original plus iris, one of my favorite notes. It feels almost sparkly in the nose, though I do wish it projected better. It seems to like to sit close to the skin. Not in this video but I wanna mention Elixir. Very sweet but with a warm earthy base, must be the honey and tobacco working together. Not really fresh like the original or le Beau, but equally rich.

Please never spray on your front neck and chest!!! It will give you wrinkles and is not good for your thyroid! Back of neck and ears only please. Shoulders are fine.

It’s a long vetting process for me… 1) smell on strip at the store, if possible 2) try it on skin, if possible 3) ask for a sample and try it on skin for a couple/few days, a week 4) sleep on it (the thought of purchasing, not the perfume itself), does it have a place or fill a role/need in my small wardrobe 5) if it passes all these tests, buy it

I’ve blond bought once, and so far it’s been a 100% success rate. The fragrance: Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Blu. Bought it at Ross. 100ml. For $30.

I've only gotten into fragrances this year (2024). Since falling down the rabbit hole, I've been seeking to translate my "personality" into fragrances, trying to be aware of the notes and accords that I am drawn to. And while my first acquisitions were either uninformed, or travel sticks just to "try" different scents, the full bottles I've purchased now as an experienced frag head are as follows: Prada Carbon Hermes H24 edp Davidoff Cool Water Hawthorne Dark Suede MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver Narciso Rodriguez For Him Bleu Noir edp Ferragamo Intense Leather / Acqua Essenziale Blu Tom Ford Oud Minerale / Oud Wood / Tobacco Vanille

I personally have been using essential oils since the early 90’s. So I know how natural actually smells. I feel when you are used to smelling individual oils, you learn over the years to distinguish different notes.❤

We do it for the same reason one purchases a mystery box. I started doing it in 2020 as you could not sample them easily.... now there is no need, but I continue to do so with fragrances under $60 because that's cheap for the rush lol.

My confusion now as beginner to this journey (not even started mixing, but waiting for my raw materials) is what kind of solvent really works for dilution. I plan to use both IPM, DPG and Ethyl Alcohol. In my formulation, i plan to dilute my neat materials in my Ethyl alc, and add ipm of around 4-5% concentration from the finish perfume and dpg of around 20-30% from the total perfume. Targeting the extrait de parfume of around 20+% concentration…. Any advice?

I've tried and own a lot of clones, and I think they do reasonably well at copying the originals -- sometimes even improving on them. I don't know which Zara dupe you tried, but I can tell you that Maison Alhambra's Lovely Cherie is a terrific clone of the Tom Ford original, and like many Fragrantica users, I find it has decent longevity. I also recommend Boozy Cherry by Pendora Scents, which is just as good. (For what it's worth, I've smelled Lost Cherry.)

I love the idea of dupes and I definitely prefer more affordable perfumes, but what I dont like is liars. Do not lie to me and say that covered in roses by b&b works smells just like Delina. They smell nothing alike, even if they have similar "notes" they literally just don't smell the same. If it's a dupe that actually manages to duplicate the scent accurately, then I'm all for it, but yall need to stop lying to ppl. And you don't need a trained nose to know that those 2 scents are nothing alike, I'm a novice and I'm telling you that if you're wearing covered in roses thinking that you're walking around smelling like Delina, you're not.

Great video! I realised after moving to a drastically different climate is that environmental conditions can really impact how perfumes wear. On that note, I started wearing my heavier fragrances by spraying them on the backside of my knees as you suggested in another video, and it is working out beautifully!

Hello??? Are you there??? What would you call the musk that is in Narcisso Rodriguez for Her (black bottle) because that id the musk I want to bathe in. Calling all musks "musk" is ridiculous, to me... There should be a "skin musk" and a "laundry musk" and a "sensual musk" and a "B.O. musk" so that we all know what the feck kind of musk is in the non refundable fragrance we are getting ready to buy!!!

You make such great points, love this discussion. I’m wondering if our perception of what smells expensive is changing with time. I’ve been told that MFK BR 540 smells expensive. Since it’s a bit sweet and unusual smelling (compared to what was on the market before, not anymore these days maybe), it doesn’t really fit the traditional category of “expensive” scents. What do you think?
@nele90455 ай бұрын
Dossier makes a dupe for BR540 that’s very close (I tried both side by side on multiple occasions). Within the first couple of hours the sillage is extremely similar, tbh I wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Smelling the blotter/my arm after application I can tell, though. It’s a good dupe but it’s missing the airiness of the original, and it is missing “the magic” secret sauce ingredient that makes the difference between “I like this!” And “I’m mesmerized and enchanted and I want it forever”. For that reason, and because I truly respect the artistry, talent, and $$$ that goes into making and marketing a luxury fragrance I’m going to keep buying the original 😊
