Agreeing on the longevity of the Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, for me comparable to that of the EDP. Sebastian in his review said that the Reserve Privee had poor longevity on him. I commented he should probably check not just on his skin but also on paper strips, side-by-side next to, for example, the EDP, to see if he perceives relative strength differences there after X number of hours. Longevity is always tricky to report, precisely because of potential skin differences. For oneself of course one must check the fragrance on skin, but to report longevity for others, I think that is the wrong way. Should be at least double-checked using paper strips comparing to other fragrances. That way people in general can get a better idea of how the new one might last on them, specially when they had tried the other and know how that other one lasts on them.

I love Ganymede and would have probably worn it to my wedding had it been around back then. Its mineralic ozonic smell thanks to violet leaves is amazing especially since somehow the gasoline / petroleum side of it is totally not there which eliminates the needless fahrenheit comparison. Plus, Ganymede has other facets aside from the Mineralic side such as Spices from Immortelle, citrus from mandarin, fruity from osmanthus and that leathery touch from saffron. And all those smells are present but they take turns in being in the limelight which is why i call this a four seasons fragrance. This is perfection and a true definition of niche quality scent

In the end I felt a Patricia De Nicolai fragrance was very fitting. All of her scents have a very regal or old money kind of smell and she herself I feel perfectly embodies the term regal since she comes from perfume royalty lineage. So on my most special day I feel like it was a must I had to choose something from House De Nicolai. Patchouli Intense, Cuir Cuba Intense and Weekend In Normandy were also some contenders.
