The camera is briefly blinded by the blue flames, before Hassan stands on a rocky outcrop, watching Tiamat fall again into the abyss.

Everything from Tiamat walking onto Uruk to her death was insanely hype. We had the living King Gilgamesh using himself as bait to draw her in close. Kingu turned against her, using Enkidu's power as the Chains of Heaven to bind her (and even that only lasted for seconds). Ishtar using her mountain-crushing Noble Phantasm to create a massive chasm, dragging Tiamat and all of her Llhamus into the Underworld. When the Chaos Tide starts to take over the Underworld, we have Merlin leaving his prison in Avalon to step in personally, and neutralize the Servant-corrupting mud. King Motherfucking Hassan. Finally, the reveal that in his last moments alive, Gilgamesh used his own body as a catalyst to summon HIMSELF as a Heroic Spirit, who holds nothing back (as seen in his unique voice lines) to put down Beast II.

Just saying but he actually did not summon himself. Most peoplenever get it but he was boasting about that part. He was dead and they were in the underworld so he just fought as a spirit. That's why he looks different and doesn't have his characterestical spiky hair (instead having his Caster Gil hairstyle and personality). He admits to this afterwards when he starts vanishing, that he's just a spirit so of course he has to go back (to the underworld).

I think you got it wrong, Gilgamesh died when ishtar nuked Uruk and he got back to the underworld thanks to that and he is in him prime ( archer ) in the same time , luring tiamat into the underworld resulted the under world's spirit release to take care of tiamat allowing Gilgamesh in his most top of the form ( he is caster Gilgamesh despite in his archer form. Nothing's holding him back nor any restraint is there . He don't have to worry destroying the world as he is in the underworld itself. He and the target is too huge to have him miss his attack. He can unleash EA to his heart's consent. I think in the upcoming anime, we WILL be able to witness the strongest attack gil has to offer . Which is not his normal Enuma Elish. Its the anti world noble phantasm that can and will destroy earth.

My SQ was spent during merlin's banner so during KH's rate up, I only had a single ticket. I decided not to roll however I was very itching to roll so I rolled the FP gacha for the sake of comfort only (thinking that it was very impossible to acquire any 4 or 5 * servants with a single tick). Then my cousin came and asked me what I was doing to which I replied 'gambling but on poor's lottery' (FP gacha), she asked if she could try it, to which I gave her the tablet and asked if she should try the single or multi, I said either (as I thought she was trying the FP gacha). She then told me there was a very colorful and flashy orbs rotating, I thought she meant the ordinary rolling animation as it was flashy for those who haven't tried the game. A few sec later I heard the sound being used when a new servant was rolled. I thought she rolled Angra. As I was about to grab back the tablet, KH started his introduction line.... I fcking cannot, literally fcking cannot forget that moment.

See, there is a lot of people getting things wrong regarding that: Gramps NEVER used Azrael at that moment, he only swung his blade to give Tiamat the Concept of Death (As we literally see above, he never calls out his NP in the cutscene). Also, the DIDN'T literally 'cut off her wings', as many mention, because as we see in the CG after he attacks, she still has them, he just severed her ability to use them. Also, after that, in-game he only actually joins the battle against the Lahmu and then does NOTHING else on-screen that we get to see, so the anime actually had him do MORE :O While it's sad that they removed him mentioning the evening bell tolling, as well as an epic chunk of his speech before attacking, everything else the anime did actually expanded on what Gramps did in the game's cutscenes.

@@hydraaprillio3471 I know how powerful KH is, i would never underestimate one of the best Servants ever, I'm just saying, even in the game itself Tiamat's image doesn't change at all after they say he "cut her wings", so it's perfectly reasonable to assume he severed them at Conceptual level along with giving her the Concept of Death :O About the Lahmu, duh, of course he could cut them, even the Divine Level ones, he IS motherfucking King Hassan. He just started 'eating' them after they had literally damaged his arms and he lost his sword (Check the scene again), which isn't weird because even in the in-game info it says his sword is nothing but a piece of iron, not an actual NP. If anything it was an amazing showing that even without weapon and without arms gramps couldn't be stopped even by enemies on divine-level :3

@@saintneos4557 first of all you actually misunderstood with servant weapon. just because it's common large sowrd doesn't mean it can't materialized. servant capable materialized their weapon even if their weapon lost or broken as long as they have mana so i find weird if he can't materialized in ep 20 for game i already give answer. they don't wanna spend any cgi for short time purpose especially back in JP server that have different income back then also lahmu is part of tiamat so it's doesn't weird for him to cut off tiamat wing if he could slicing those lahmu easily admit it. clover work just doing dirty for KH in ep 20. clover work doing best for all rest episode is undeniable but sadly they sacrifice gramps for ritsuka interaction with tiamat that doesn't even showed in game and highlighting eresh and gilgamesh for ep 20

In a sense yes, but i still have to disagree given how rushed the whole situation felt Yes , this is a visual novel and therefore we have more time to present stuff but the whole moment of gramps putting an end to tiamats wings. Something that i would have loved to see Compare the scene where gramps severs ereshkigals ties to the alliance with the scene with tiamat in the anime. For me he has much more authority there, which i wished they would have pulled into this moment against tiamat And a more petty gripe for me is that here he jumped from uruk, while in the anime he was mildly above them Long story short, i was disappointed, thankfully gils use of Ea was epic

@Noble Phantazm I appreciate you stating your opinion in that way because of the discourse we can have through it. You're valid to state it , no matter if you're anime only. Personally i believe that an adaption should not be a 1 to 1 replica but elevate itself from the source material. King hassan being meddled that way is kind of a sub-issue of what i have with the anime in general but that is a different story. The rush it had in comparison to this scene. But then again it focused on backstories that i don't believe much anime only people would know instead of focusing on the story at hand. And then the weird choice of 21 episodes ...ugh.. Personally I can't really say if i would have reacted differently, if i wouldn't have known the game itself.

In order to instill the concept of death into tiamat who is immortal. King Hassan gave up his Grand Assassin title as the cost for such a power. He summoned himself into babylonia because he took interest in the mc's personality/character. Also for the fact that the Chaldea master saved his people in camelot which he cannot do since grand servants are restricted in there actions by the counter force.

Still though Hassan is death itself some ppl would doubt hed need the grand assasin rank to place death into tiamat. Even without the grand title hed still be able to do it i think.

@@bluemoon9683 In a way yes he did relinquish his Grand status in order to join Chaldea. However, for King Hassan to even act on his own will he had to give up his grand status which gives him the natural ability to instill the concept of death into immortal beings. His saint graph was that of a grand servant when he appeared to strike Tiamat but once he gave up that title he used all of the his remaining grand saint graph abilities to instill that concept into Tiamat, changing his own saint graph into a normal servant. He's still incredibally strong regardless. If you want the proof nasu said it himself. Edit: for gameplay reasons this is partly why the guest version of King Hassan is stronger and his instant death proc is much higher in that fight since his losing his grand title had him gradually lose his strength into being the summonable version.

He gave up his Grand Title to force a Concept of Death onto an actual Diety, according to Nasu. Tiamat was explicitly said to be immortal unless every other living thing was dead. To put it another way, if Shiki were to look at Tiamat, there would be no lines, because as long as one living thing exists, the idea that Tiamat could die is inconceivable. Saying she's only "immortal" is putting it mildly.
