this is a Quincy Jones arrangement which he did for a date with Frank Sinatra.Q is ,appropriately enough, conducting this band. Good as it is, it isn't quite up to the Q band which featured the Brecker brothers, Steve Gadd, Snooky Young, Ray Brown and others. George Benson's solo on the original is outstanding

Kind of sounds like his silly singing from his tours in the 80s when he was taking the piss out of this sort of music.

@MrPhil46 not saying its bad cos hes not playing as well, I'm saying everyone is acting like this is just Phil and going on like this is all him, he adding one layer and it's not at all impressive vocally, you might like the sound and familiarity of his voice but its isn't good here, the musicians are tight and sound good and they deserve all the credit for the overall sound. and there's absolutely NO dynamic in his voice at all!

this is pretty lame. it's not collins' best vocal by any means, but he shoulda stuck to the drums.

Stop complimenting Phil Collins, on this video he does nothing, the vocals arnt impressive, its the musicians who deserve all the credit here, Phil just stands around doing nothing in that shit jumper. Check out Nina Simone's version, now that's how you sing it!
