Dear Phil Collins, this is the new path to follow in your seventies: Jazz-ballad style, romantic/ melancholic melody sung in the (not necessarily always, depending on the song) lower register to hear the timbre of your husky/ whispery voice as well. It could be a Jazz Band but not too loud, or a Jazz Trio with drums and piano. You could play the piano and sing. More, please!
