I guess we will see more of these over the next years. The new right owners paid a lot and want some cash back. Including the Genesis back catalogue - I am really looking forward to the "Abacab Complete" box set in 2027 :) Maybe the record where it makes the most sense, I'd love to have the full Abacab sessions in correct ordner on vinyl, with the whole "Dodo Suite" thing complete (Dodo - Lurker - Submarine - Naminanu) and all the many b sides of this era. There are also "rough mixes" known as bootlegs, which are pretty interesting. Thanks for your work!

A great video I just picked up Face Value deluxe double cd edition in a charity shop for £1.50. My second cd copy of Face Value my other copy comes with the Take A Look At Me Now cd box set which I bought new in Sainsbury's for £8 a few years ago.

Thank you so much for doing the unboxing. You are the first one I could find. I really appreciate it. I agree with jbtaba’s comments about why they put songs on from the Serious Tour. I hate to say it but I think the only thing they were going for with this set as much as I love Both Sides was to put in a vinyl version of all the songs on the 2 cd deluxe edition. Like you said in your review, I wish they would dig more and include a live version of I’ve Forgotten Everything as well as some rare tracks like Burn Down the Mission was done live once and a few versions of The Way You Look Tonight. That would have been amazing. I also wish you worked for the people that produce Phil’s records. Your ideas are awesome! But if we get any other big box sets from the other albums, my gut is saying they will probably be the Take a look at me now cd deluxe editions on vinyl. That would be my guess but I really hope I’m wrong. I definitely want to get and curious about the 16 page booklet as well

When i looked up the new reissues on Discogs of the pre-78 years, it says "Craft Recordings/Peter Gabriel Ltd." so I think Phil, Tony and Mike sold their share of everything. But also, the reissues do not say "Steven Hackett Ltd", which is weird. Im not sure if he sold his share too? But the one thing I would have done is had all the demos and leftovers between records 3 and 4, the live Both Sides padding it out, then record 5 being the Unplugged concert.

Thanks for your review. Take Me With You is the best B Side of Both Sides and was only available on CD. The rest of B Sides were previously available on 7 inch singles. One of the main reasons I am buying this boxset is for Take Me With You. I have the original Both Sides on Vinyl and all the 7 inch singles available. Could you provide more details on the sound quality of the Both Sides records?

Can you comment on the sound quality of the live tracks on side G and H? The only selling point for me apart from a couple of the B-sides would be properly sourced live tracks, but I suspect this is just a vinyl print of the KZbin mp3-sourced tracks we got on the CD deluxe edition?

The live songs on the "random" disc were Everyday B sides which is why they're included. If they re release the Serious Hits album, they need to do a major remix. The original album is one of the worst sounding live albums. Great tour but the album was not mixed well.

I have commented about this before, but I still stand my ground about this matter. A few months back The Police released a Synchronicity boxset to commemorate the 40th anniversary of that album, and in terms of content included on that boxset, to be frank, it blows All The Sides out of the water. It’s everything a commemorate release should be. So apart from getting previously released content as a vinyl, All The Sides is a disappointment. I don’t know if Phil wants to “James Cameron” these anniversary releases himself, but I do believe Concord and Phil should really team up and have Phil approve NJR’s 40th anniversary release about what content to put on and what not to put. This is what should have been done for All The Sides (wishful thinking) and NJR’s next year release: Disc One - Original remastered album Disc Two/Three - Alternate takes, outtakes and B-sides Disc Three/Four - Original album in demo form. If there are several variations of the demo a la In the Air Tonight, put it on Disc Five/Six/Seven - A full live album corresponding to the tour of that album That’s what should’ve been done. Concord is just lazy with the content included here to be honest.
