Hi, Phil. Eggs in dark brown water at 7-11 is called Tea eggs (Yes, that's tea with some soy sauce and spices). What you had (with egg) for the breakfast is Radish cake, which is made by white radish and Glutinous rice.

I enjoyed the video Phil. The ‘Blair Witch’ style is my favourite. It’s very present, feels like we get a real behind the scenes look at your journey. Not like a paid for promotion with lots of sponsorship, you just tell it how it is. I’d love to try the KOM challenge one day, but being the other side of the world it’s unlikely I will get there, so I will just have to settle for this for the time being.

@erniemccracken81316 жыл бұрын
Soooo, to be considered "PRO" in cycling you not only have to be paid you need to be on a team that has paid their cash fees to the UCI and purchased a UCI PRO Team license. You have to be on a World Tour Pro Team? This is fascinating! Because in every single other sport as soon as you bring in an income (money for playing your sport, for for the laymen) you are considered "PRO", to include American non athletic sports like golf and baseball. Even Greg Lemonde said that he made more money as an amateur than he did in his first year as a "PRO". Olympics are for armatures, one day people that can win, Tokyo is perfect for Phil. Phil makes money from bicycle racing but says that he is not a "PRO" because he is not on the World Tour, However the dude is probably arguably the best single day climber in the world, and makes money from racing. ???????? Really UCI?? Phil for Cycling Road Team Leader Tokyo 2020 Team USA!!!!!!

What gearing would you suggest for the Taiwan KOM Challenge? 50/34 and an 11/28 on the back, or an 11/30 or 32 instead?
@worstretirementever5 жыл бұрын
Most of it isn’t that steep but I used every bit of my 34x32 in the last few kms.
@darrynharvey5 жыл бұрын
@@worstretirementever Thanks for the reply. I'm doing The road to Taiwan KOM Challenge this April. Same course but a 9 hour cut off instead of 6 hours. I was supposed to race the 2018 Taiwan KOM Challenge, but crashed heavily on the way to the start line and ended up in surgery and had 5 nights in hospital in Hualien. Next month is my redemption ride, to make up for missing out on October. I think I can do it in under 5 hours. Might do the KOM in October too, if I like it, which I think I will.
@t.j.goldwater5 жыл бұрын
How did it go dude?
@darrynharvey5 жыл бұрын
@@t.j.goldwater There was an earthquake in the area about 4 days before the race which was then cancelled later that night. The road to the summit was (and still is) undergoing a lot of roadworks at the time too, the day before the earthquake I made it to about 85km before hitting a roadblock that was going to take too long to wait for it to reopen. They close the road in 3 or 4 places for an hour or 2 at a time, and you have to wait , no exceptions. I've booked flights for October already, so i'll ride it then.
