Phil, Jase, and Al agree that they are a lot more in touch with their emotions as they age, and Jase recalls one of the first times he truly connected with his sensitive side after a tragedy early in his life. Jase realizes that jokes aren’t his strong suit, and the guys discuss how to stay open-minded and open-hearted even as you grow older. Jase reveals some mistakes in a biblical translation, but the guys agree that it doesn’t ultimately change the meaning of the message.
In this episode: Luke 24, verses 45-53; Ephesians 1, verse 18; Acts 16, verse 13; John 20, verse 21; Acts 7, verses 37, 51-58; Exodus 13, verses 2, 12

Father God, you are the Creator of the Universe, your breath is our life, thank you for your promise that when we come to you in the name of Jesus you hear our prayers. Lord we come to you because Sonja asked us to seek you for her. Jesus said that wherever 2 or 3 gather in your name, you are amongst us. We are gathering digitally in Christ. We ask you to comfort her & her loved ones during this time of not knowing. Prepare their faith to be strong for whatever they encounter. Guide the doctor(s) to find the cause of her health issues. Give the doctor wisdom. Mostly I pray for you to touch Sonja's body with your healing power. We ask these things & even for the prayers of Sonja's heart in the Holy name of Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen

Can someone please help me with questions about “The Chosen”? The Conservatives have had an UPROAR about the “Pride Flag” on “The Chosen” set and I’ve actually banned it from my home, because, Joshua 24:15… And I’ve not watched one episode. I’ve watched all the Duck Dynasty Seasons and rewatched them and Jase is actually our FAVORITE brother. Sorry, Jep. We take in his word pretty seriously as we view him as a true believer. And he’s not only okay with watching, “The Chosen” but buying out 319 seats at the theater.. Also, eating “Chick Fi La” on Valentines and again the Conservative Christian’s are boycotting Chick Fi La because being Private Christian Owned they were NOT pushed into having a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at all (it was done voluntarily). I started having a family discussion earlier this week before this episode posted about maybe the Robertson’s are just happy that the word of God is being spread - that that one little pride flag shouldn’t stop the word of Jesus from being spread…But, my concerns as a mom - is it okay to watch a show created by “Pride Members and Believers”. Does that make it Blasphemy?? Daily Wire +, Conservative Twins, The Comment Section with Brett Cooper, Nick Jones, The Officer Tatum, etc.. All helped me find out about the pride flag on “The Chosen” set and about Chick Fi La boycotting topics.. These are my honest questions and the more I watch Phil’s post the more I’m still in question. Topic hasn’t been addressed on here. I even hear Taylor Swifts name being used on the podcast here and without concernment for those following her??

Jase a lot of other languages use the same word to mean different things. It is the sentence that tells us how it was meants. So the bible uses a tranlated word only because it was used so many ways. A short example in the English language is the word Desert.

Their hearts were opened by understanding that the O.T. was speaking about Jesus. "and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away. 14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 2 Corinthians 3:13-15.

What Jase said about Steven at the end explains how people can know that they are being martyred yet be at peace. Because they are going to be at the throne of God shortly. I needed Jesus when I was 27 and found drugs instead. At 37 I needed a change and I needed help making a change. Drugs were not me. I had success with my addiction and life after turning to Jesus because a man at work prayed for me and it changed my life hearing him pray for me out loud at work. He prayed for my marriage and my addiction.. I was amazed. I got baptized later that year and that was 2 years ago. I love the life I live following the gospel of Jesus. The book of John is my favorite. I like that spiritual fruit I get and share with others. I know in my heart at 37 yo I needed to make my sobriety really work or my life was doomed. Glad I found Jesus and was able to make things right.

I'm not sure what I think about this but this past Sunday night the Pastor was talking about how the Catholic church has all the books from the original Bible and about how the Bible we have these days is the inspired word of God and about how all the other books in the Bible that we don't have aren't inspired by God some where back a long time ago I read that though shalt not take away or add to the Bible. I guess what I'm trying to say is this I agree to disagree not saying the Pastor is perfect but what I am saying is that don't add or take books away from the original Bible. He did openly admit one Sunday night that he dropped out of college.

When we are worldly rather than spiritually hearted and minded about Bible things we are blinded by the material world view. We must worship in Spirit and in Truth, not in intelligence and truth. When we humble up and sincerely let go of the material self things to see truth we enter the spiritual vision where we can see in a proper holy light. That is how Jesus, God, opens our hearts and minds to see, when He see's that we are sincerely seeking drawing near to Him and not our intelligent abilities. He waited to meet their need for the proper timing as to their hearts being humble. God opens our hearts when we get seriously humble enough to deserve sight in true light.

Jewish woman to Brother Jase: 🙏✌if I may explain the mindset a little bit , . . . re Acts 1 when they ask if Jesus is going to restore things, this is why the guys wanted to ask that question, ... The Hebrew's of that day were taught that when Messiah comes He would do just that, come to be King first and foremost. This is why , or one reason I should say, that many Jews of today still do not accept Jesus as the Messiah, because He did not restore things as they had been taught. Jews were waiting for a Messiah who would end all their persecution and rule Israel into peace they had dreamed of, and as we know that will happen when he returns but first He came to atone for sin. They were not taught that first part as we have been taught. They only had the OT at that time. In fact, on the Emmaus Rd when Jesus opened the eyes of the two people it was the OT He opened their minds to understand separate from all the errors the Pharisees had been teaching through misinterpretation for their personal agendas. So, that question is understandable when we realize they were taught that Messiah would come in war mode to defeat and rule. Being a Jew who adores Jesus is a very sweet thing, because now our minds are opened to understand too, and one day all who are sincere about the Faith of us Jews will also see. May hearts soften and desire Him in Spirit and in Truth apart from tales of the erroneous kind. Ahavah v'Shalom, (peace through love) and God bless!

Jesus was also 100% human as well as being 100% God. Jesus ate, drank, slept, and clothed himself because He HAD to! He was protecting and respecting the vessel that Jesus Himself went into. But I wonder about food and such in Heaven, because the stomach and food are done away with after we leave the physical realm. 1 Corinthians 6:13 says, "Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them." And wouldn't eating when we don't need to be gluttony, a sin?

Scriptures have the Messiah having a three and a half years kingship in Israel, Israel murdered Jesus before he established the Earthly kingdom, we are a spiritual kingdom but he's coming back to be King for three and a half years

Simon Peter told Jesus you are the Christ. The son of the living God and then Jesus tells peter blessed , and are you simon peter for you only know these things because The Father has revealed them to you. We can only know these things if God reveals them to us. A.k.a. Opens our eyes.

Jesus blew the minds of His disciples back then and today through the person and character of the Holy Spirit 🤯💣! Like blowing a hole thru a solid rock! The Spirit of Truth (power and work of the Spirit) leading them and us into all truth like Jesus said He would in John 14:17. 2 Corinthians 5:16. So we have stopped evaluating others from the human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from the human point of view. How differently we know him now (New Living Translation) !!!!!
