ABSOLUTELY STOKED to see Daniel Donato playing with Phil Lesh & Friends. Happy Birrthday PHIL thank you for a real good time!!! (~);}

So far I dont get th buzz around him? His voice almost sounds like a girl and playing doesnt seem to be up to par with other stars Phil has brought in, such as Rick from Goose, Warren, Marcus King, Stanley Jordan, or even His Son Grahm or Eric Krasno,, etc!. What am I missing?
@CryptoCopilots9 ай бұрын
@@RobertMcEntee for me its more so of the vibrational energy he generates around him, from what i have experienced is what seems to me a person with a very good heart and soul that is felt through the music. Does that make sense? But yeah his character, enthusiasm for what he does, and how much he loves it just flows.. you know what I mean? Hope this helps. (~);}

@@RobertMcEntee Search the following cover of BERTHA he Daniel Donato did and just pay attention to the true feeling of gratefulness and love of what he is doing just pores out of this one.... "Bertha" (Grateful Dead) // Daniel Donato Cosmic Country (DeadCoversProject2021)

@@CryptoCopilots That makes sense thanks man! Coincidently I just heard a caller on Tales from Golden Road who took a zoom guitar lesson w him during covid say how much extra time he spent and was very giving, so apparently he is a cool cat! Sometimes musicians just have to "grow on you"... like mold ha?!

Peter Shapiro has dedicated his entire life to giving fans like me, and I assume you too, the absolute best concert experience that we could ever ask for. His role in promoting and advancing the GD/ Jam community is unmatched in my lifetime. Yes, I appreciate the hell out of him. Just as much as I do the musicians that he supports. What do you think Phil would say if you asked him his thoughts on Pete's accomplishments?

Surprisingly enjoyable. I found myself musing that it's really unfair to Bob Weir's songs that they are usually sung by Bob. Then Sugar Magnolia started and I realized that it could have been worse. I'm glad Phil is not letting old age keep him from having some fun.

You do realize Phil and Friends started back in 94 when Jerry was still alive, but really started touring in earnest in 98, right? Phil has had some the most talented musicians touring with or sitting in with on various occasions. But sure, go ahead and say it's "sort of cute".
