I was at the MSG show in September 1988 where Phil said in between songs " My son just said the words 'Rock n Roll' for the first time"! RIP Phil, I'll never forget those 4 shows I attended at MSG '88 the first I went to age 16!

Bummed that this CLASSIC interview was cut right before Bobby said "...now after taxes..." followed by a cut to Bill and Mickey's hilarious interview where they took the fame & fortune riff next level: Bill &; Mickey in furs and sunglasses smoking stogies talking about how they were hanging out with Eddy Murphy and Mike Tyson now. They actually stole the show in that Tom Davis interview/sketch. I used to have the whole 12/31/87 simulcast, taped on a VCR that I had purchased specifically for that purpose, but sadly lost the tape in a fire many years ago.

Bobby is so honest. Grateful he is still pushing music’s evolution, still challenging himself. (Mama said don’t say unkind things so edited…)

why are rock interviewers always so bad? in the 80s and now. Phil was about to say something interesting in the beginning about fatherhood and the interviewer moved it along to something more boring.

Self appointed judges in my experience have deep seated hidden issues that get exposed by their incessant use of superiority when they speak their “opinion”.
