Found out today at church that a young man in our area has been listening to your podcast. He is only a teenager. Never been to church in his life. Parents are not believers and have never had God in their household. However THIS teenager accepted Jesus listening to Phil. Then Phil had said he needed to get Baptized and into a church, so he Googled nearby churches and came up with ours. Evidently he called into the church office last week wanting Baptized. Our pastor met with him and then told us today in the sermon all about it. That young man is getting Baptized this coming Wednesday. Praise the Lord! I thought you all would like to know.

Love the hurricane update. April, 1997, we loss electricity in an all electric farm house for 8 days in rural north ND. Severe snow storm brought negative 10 degrees. We had camping equipment and two 20 lb. propane tanks w/sunflower heater. We had a large snow bank we melted for drinking and washing water.

@Free Thinker 1) Phil had said that yes, and he supports Trump since he is the only candidate available that atleast offers some support for Christianity. While all the others want it destroyed. 2) Phil has said that, and look the government does suck at caring for the poor. Welfare doesn’t help anyone. It promotes single parent homes, it promotes laziness. Being in the south I have seen many, able to work, but mooch off the welfare system. Phil has also said it is The Church who should care for the needy and the poor, and we are doing a TERRIBLE job of it in the US. You say God lies, he does not, it’s against his nature. Yet, Gos is in total control of his creation. Look to Job for an example. God allowed Satan to completely ruin Job’s life, yet Job stayed faithful even when he had ever right to curse and denounce God. I can’t explain to you why God commands demons, or causes peoples hearts to be hardened, like many in the Old Testament. Maybe perhaps they wouldn’t have accepted his Truth in the first place. But, what I can tell you is true freedom, and joy, are found in Jesus. True Hope is found. No other religion offers it. And look if your right, what have I lost? I loved a good, moral life as a Christian. But, if Jesus is the only way to salvation, and your wrong, that means eternal separation from God. So I’d rather live for Jesus’ Truth, than die for what the world claims is truth.

But, if you wanna get down to the point of the Bible, which is Gods redemption plan for mankind, than yes it takes a level of faith to believe in it as truth. You know, I would love to have video evidence of Jesus coming back from the dead, but I don’t. But I have first hand account of believers who were with him, and I have studied other world religions and none of them are like Christianity. They are all works based, which is a total human idea. No human would say your saved through a Grace through Faith alone. But, That’s because it’s Gods idea not man’s. He’s loving and wants you to be saved through Jesus to spend externality with him. He won’t force his love in you, he gives you the choice to accept it or deny it. But look, if Christianity isn’t true. What have I lost? I lived a good moral life, love my wife, served my community, my church, etc. according to karma and other religions then my good works and actions will be counted, but if Christianity is true, than unbelievers will be eternally separated from God. And I believe in this truth of Jesus so much. I can’t take that chase of not being with God, so I believe it by faith, and will do so till I fall asleep (die) and awake to meet my savior.

Believe me, I know Jesus and he is lord of my life no one else. And Phil isn’t telling you to go jump off a cliff, or to not wear a mask because it doesn’t work. His overall idea is this “No Matter what you wanna do to try and stay alive, the fact is your going to die one day, regardless of age, illness, injury, accident, etc.” all of us will die one day COVID or no COVID. All Phil is trying to say is if you truly want to live for ever and you must have your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. Look I don’t wear a mask for my health. I’m a young guy, I could care less if I got this virus, and if it kills me, so be it. To live is Christ and to die is gain. I only wear a mask to be respectful of others. I wouldn’t wear one everyday if I didn’t have to to go inside of places. And Dude Jesus is my lord and Savior, not Phil Robertson, and I am not drinking any koolaid. If Phil Robertson said something unbiblical and untrue today I would stop following him. But he teaches straight out of Gods word. And I read it for myself every single day.

Just an interesting note for you guys or anyone reading this on the "easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle" section. The "eye of the needle" was a very narrow and short gate entrance built into ancient city walls. It was built for men to pass through, but was meant to prevent the cities being assaulted through large main gates where hordes could enter all at once. In order for merchants, etc. to pass through the eye of the needle with their goods, he had to coach his camel onto its knees and scoot forward to get through. Fun fact for the day. :)

Save this tip for the future power outage!!! I have like 12 cheap solar landscape lights from WM (.94/each) and charge them during the day for lights at night. They don’t get hot and put out a LOT of light. I started doing that after Hurricane Gustav. Hello from SE Louisiana.

I’m in Wilmington NC and we’ve had our fair share..Florence in 2018 whoa...Samaritans Purse used our church as their mobilization center, to reach out and help our community! They were amazing! I was a motorcycle technician ATVs and side-by-side‘s and we got a shipment of four wheelers made in China we would find the carburetors hadn’t even had holes drilled out . My boss sent them back but you will see them on the side of the road selling them and I see them coming through the door . I could Fix them but the labor cost more than the machine and I’ve run into the generator too. In my 15 years working there I only had one Generic I just had to clean the carburetor the lady said it had only came on one time in 5 years. They are Worth every penny they are good. I've only used twice since we bought it, but have serviced it and bought extra service parts and fuel. Bottom line is: if momma ain't happy, ain't noooobody happy! The "needle" was an escape route in the Jerusalem wall. It was tiny to be sure, so they could escape with a camel, but the camel had to lower to get through it, again, ironic in God's way. A rich man must have a humble heart and rely on God and not on his money!

Can definitely our beloved duckmen aren't use to hurricanes. Rightfully so being they are in North LA. I get tickled listening to them talk about no power for 3 days. 3 days😂. Lord love them but they wouldnt last long if they lived on the coast during a hurricane. Al talks about no power for 3 days while having 3 small grandchildren in the home. Try 3 adults and a 5 yr old living in a 40ft camper for 6 months because there is no home, much less electricity or water. For 6 months my parents, myself and my son lived in my dad's camper while on a waiting list for a FEMA camper for me and my son. And out of that 6 months, 3 or 4 months of that was living off a generator for power. It took that same amount of time if not longer to get running water. It took over a year to get back in our homes. But... With all the displacement, loss and frustration... Our God pulled us through. Many good people came from all across the country to help our coast neighborhoods clean up and build back. People who had servant hearts and a heard the call from God spent their own vacation days and/or took leaves of absence from work to help a bunch of strangers thousands of miles from the comfort of their own homes. It was an amazing testimony to the power of Love God and Love your neighbor❤

You poor boys. I wonder if you guys have a propane camp stove? Do you have the old fashioned coffee percolator that you sit on an open fire to brew coffee or heat water for hot cocoa? Unfortunately this old lady lives in town, but I have my camp stove, propane lanterns and hurricane oil lamps, along with the old fashioned percolator for making my coffee, but I do not have a generator (we hardly ever lose power and if we do it's no longer than a few hours. No hurricanes in the desert). I couldn't afford a generator anyway. Phil and Si needs to teach you boys a few things. LOL!
