When he was playing drums with his right hand and playing keyboard with his left, that is when I was 100% sold. This guy deserves to be champ. Well done sir.

I'm glad Roland selects winners based on their musical and compositional ability. The bottom line is the looper is a tool for musicians to help them be solo artists. The skills of a looper has a lot to do with when to add and when to lay back. Music is all about the space between the notes. Having said that, I'm astounded by the skill and precision of other loopers. You're all amazing!

You are definately the best juggler I've seen on a looper. You do see some pretty good tap dancers cuttin footloose but it's the little things like resting the drumstick behind the keyboard keys and drumming one handed while reaching for your twanger

Currently considering suing this guy. He has cost me so much money. After watching this video so many times, I started buying gear. Gear. Gear. Gear. Got my roland TD25 electronic kit. Got the Boss RC500 loop station and FS7 to expand it. Novation Midi keyboard. Scarlett 2i2. Computer. Ableton Live. Amplification and other sound gear. Toys toys toys. Guitars. Why did you have to be so good Phil Standek????? Look what you’ve done to me???? I bought the gear. Now where can I buy the talent? This your your fault Phil!!!!!! But seriously, this video made me want to start looping so bad. I started with an RC3. Moved to a 30. Then the 500. Gotta say Boss knocked it out of the park with the RC500. Its so good. It’s more pedal than I need right now. But I hope my talent will eventually catch up to the power of the pedal. It is such a powerful tool. Maybe too much power for one mortal man to behold. Proof that Phil Standek is an immortal being. Side note: you can connect two RC500s together via a midi cable and create a mega-500. I can’t wait to try it. Boss thought of everything. I wanted to get an older pedal called Boomerang. It is amazing and not too expensive. But lacked a few key features. I decided to spend the extra money on the 500. I was worried I would regret it. So far: no regrets. Im pleased as can be. I think Boss owes me some free gear for sitting here advertising their toys. Lol
