Phil Robertson

Phil Robertson

3 жыл бұрын

Jase's obstacle-filled "triduckathon" includes wading through a sea of raccoon crap and doing battle with a ball of fire ants. The guys remember the time Willie's expensive coffee was ruined when someone mistook him for a homeless person, and Phil recalls being directed to a shelter. Jase offers a blueprint for reaching people with Jesus and describes his pivotal "stand-up moment." And Al closes it out with a challenge for Unashamed Nation.

Before watching these videos, if anyone would have told me I could listen to hunting stories and lessons in Jesus our Savior and be intrigued and wanting more, I probably would have told them they were nuts. However, here I am and lovin' it! Laughter and spiritual inspiration; this podcast has it all. I've read their books, watched their shows...can't get enough. Love this family. Truly good people. With all due respect Jase, John and Peter were NOT being facetious when they told the crowds who were amazed at the beggar's healing that they had "killed the author of life"? They were being quite serious. And for a reason. The crowd of people were "astonished" at what they had seen these two men do. But John and Peter wanted them to understand that THEY did not do this great thing, but that it was done through their faith in JESUS and in His name that they performed this miraculous act, the One who performed the same kind of miracles yet they killed. (And it WAS a miracle, not just an act of kindness, though it was that as well, of course.) Part of putting our faith in Jesus is acknowledgement of our sins. That has to come first before we recognize the need of a Savior to forgive those sins. The crowd of people who were so astonished needed to realize and face what they had done to Jesus, because we can't repent of our sins if we don't acknowledge them. And the sin that they committed John and Peter were *witnesses* to, mentioned so the crowd couldn't evade responsibility or deny what happened to Jesus. **BUT** (and this is the really important part), they also wanted the crowd to know, that, like Jesus, they forgive and love, and that they (the crowd) too, if they will acknowledge their sins and put their faith in Jesus, can be forgiven and walk in this same kind of love and power. Although they had killed Him, He loved them and forgave them and would heal their HEARTS. ALSO, we all need to be VERY CAREFUL about passing judgment, *mocking*, and making assumptions about "beggars". Yes, in this day and age, because evil has grown so much, there will always be some pretending to be poor to take advantage of another's kindness or may use help in ways that are not good for themselves... but even then, does that person not need Jesus' love and help? Moreso! Jesus came to save the sinners, not the righteous! Share the Gospel with them, pray for them, talk to them about their circumstances, discern their spirit, listen to their story, love them, offer to buy them a meal or groceries, but we should never be cynical and judgmental towards them. You never know, it could be you one day! AND... And this is a true story that just happened to me about a month ago: You could very well be talking to an angel. I was coming out of my car, getting ready to go into the grocery store. A woman came up to me and asked me if I could help her with some money. Immediately, I'm praying to God: Help me Holy Spirit to discern this situation and honor God. I asked her what her situation was. She explained that because of Covid, her husband was laid off and they didn't have enough money to make Christmas dinner for her family (it was like 2 days before Christmas) I told her I didn't have much money on me, which was true (only about $2, because I rarely carry much cash on me anymore) and that in general I was getting quite low on money myself (again very true), but that if it was alright with her, we could go inside the store, I'd get the few things I needed, and I'd buy her a $10 gift card for the grocery store to at least give her some help for what she needed. And she was totally okay with that. So, we did that. And after we paid for it and I was leaving her, I looked at her and said, "Do you know Jesus?" And she said, "Oh, I know Him very well. In fact, He's my boss." I was just grinning from ear to ear, tears in my eyes, gave her a hug, and we parted. And she bought groceries. So... "Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." (Hebrews 13:1-3) Love and God's blessings to all!

"It's not something people would do..." (Jase, about the apostles stopping to help the beggar) What, no? That's exactly what Jesus did ALL the time, so of course, that's what His apostles would do. Yes, Jesus spoke to large crowds, but much of His work was one-on-one with individuals who needed help and healing. And THEN those individuals who were healed by Jesus, THEY went and spread the word about what Jesus had done and Who He was (the GOOD NEWS) to others. That's how we need to be living for God every single day, one ACT of His love at at time, no matter the number of people involved. No stage needed.

We have to have a true "surrender" moment, where we realize that while we believe in Jesus, we're not truly believing ON Jesus. Not intentionally or consciously, but I struggled for many years in my walk with the Lord because (realized later) I was striving in my own power to follow Him, instead of trusting in Him and letting the Holy Spirit fill me up and lead me. And that's when we can truly "stand up" in HIS strength.

One of the questions I have, is that my son gave a beggar a track to find Jesus, but the gentleman got angry and started cussing him. Is that the evil one?

Yes, that's the spirit of the evil one controlling that man. Your son did a very good thing on behalf of God's Kingdom, and who knows? One ACT of sharing the Gospel can often cause a crack in the stone wall around someone's heart that may eventually lead to the wall coming down: repentance and salvation in our Lord Jesus. ❤️

I love that testimony of Peter and John and the leper . And the I like to tie in this scripture also . John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” King James Version (KJV)l So I ask , Do you Believe ? Are you walking in the spirit? You can do these things as Peter and John did in Jesus Christ name , If you liveth and believith in Jesus Christ .

Episode 214, you talked about the government giving the $600 checks, how about Trump giving all you rich people an enormous tax cut, which hurts us middle class folks. Can't we stick to Bible and less politics, please?
