Ucla fan here, sixers got a steal. I love Adem and two years ago he was the perfected starting center and lob threat to a ucla team led by Jaime jacquez that I believe would’ve won a championship had he and the national DPOY hadn’t gotten hurt in the tournament. He’s an elite shot blocker and lob threat and was actually projected to go ahead of Jaime in last years draft before he tore his shoulder in the tournament last year. Perfect backup center to embiid and I can see them playing together given the fact embid can shoot and rebound.

If he gets the starting spot at the 4, it's gonna be amazing 2 African players as the backbone of Phillys backcourt. Could maybe end up bein the scariest Center/Forward combo in the league from a physical standpoint

I like the pick Adem Bona. The sixers will have to let him develop and get a legit chance to play some minutes in the rotation. I still would not give up on Paul Reed, who I think his position is power forward, not center.

@ChrisW-tg1gq Bam is 255 (and he's not 21) 7'1 wingspan Jarrett Allen 245 - 7' 6 wingspan, Miles Turner 240 - 7'1 wingspan. Center is not about being 280lbs anymore goofball. It's about being a big twitchy athlete with length who can switch out to the perimeter when needed. I just named 3 elite defensive 5s who profile very similarly to Adem. And two of them are only 6'9 (in shoes)

Hate this pick. Don’t need another damn 6’9 center. And we don’t need a project center with no offensive skillset. I would have rather taken a flyer on a wing player or if dead set on a bit.. Quinten Post, 7-1, 82% FT, 43 3P%. Like true skillset. Bona, complete project and if he can’t rebound in college he won’t rebound in the league.
