?? We already did under Desai, bro. He is a Vic Fangio disciple and runs Vic Fangio's defense, a 3-4, which we ran last season. Now we have the real Vic Fangio to run the scheme we implemented last season. Every player drafted was from 3-4 defenses, bro. They loaded up on UGA players. Jordan Davis is a player you draft to run a 3-4. Nolan Smith is a player you draft to run a 3-4. Those are 3-4 prototypes at their respective positions....

He’s a good #3 guy and I think his ceiling is just being average. So I’m a bit worried that Howie is neglecting our defense which needs a lot of help going forward.

I disagree wholeheartedly with that statement, and I think anyone who watched this channel during the season and even afterwards knows how I feel about Blankenship. I'd like to know what else he can do to prove himself, as he was a legit pro Bowl candidate before those late injuries kinda derailed him. Conversely, people gave every excuse imaginable for Sydney Brown who didn't look all that good to me. While we do need help at corner and some safety depth with a one-year bridge, if Brown's injury keeps him down into the season, I don't think Blankenship should go anywhere.

That's interesting. One thing we have to think about is the ability to stop the run as well. We have no clue if Huff can stop the run, as that's not been his role as a designated hitter on money downs, and I'm not sure if Nolan Smith can consistently hold up at EDGE. We still need to see what actually happens with Haas, too, but hopefully we are fine on that front. If Haas is there, I like your plan.
