When you have grown up listening to music and productions like his, it's hard for me to really get too excited about the vast majority of music/production/artists of today. Thank you for the music that you shared with us all!

Thom Bell also worked with one of My other favorites The Spinners. May He Rest Well. That Only The Strong Survive by Billy Paul is fire and goes hard. To Me it's the one song I say is the Official Song of Philadelphia International Records because it was them that dethroned Motown👍🏿🎤🎶

The average music listener gives way too much credit to singers and vocalists on records. Legendary producers (especially black ones) like Thom Bell don't get the recognition they deserve. Bell was easily one of the top 10 producers of 1970's music. That era would sound a whole lot different if not for him. May he Rest in Peace.

R.I.P. to one of the main architects of "The Philly Sound" & member of "The Mighty Three" producing & songwriting team of Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff, Thom Bell. The magnificent & supremely talented Producer/Arranger/Conductor/Songwriter/ Musician was an important contributor to the forever loved "Sound Of Philadelphia" genre and as universally recognizable on par as the "Motown Sound" thanks to Thom Bell & other P.I.R. legends such as fellow Arrangers/Producers Bobby Martin (whose own arrangements are often compliment to Bell's), Norman Harris, Ronnie Baker, Vince Montana, Jack Faith & others in the Sigma Sound Studios stable (R.I.P. also to studio founder/engineer Joe Tarsia). As we mourn his passing, the music he left behind will forever be treasured for generations to come. 🙏🏿🕊️🌈
