One of my many favorite scenes in this brilliant movie but this prob. would be my ultra-favorite from ANY movie. It's a stunning scene and Hanks has no competitors ... a genius. I wish I knew him ... a lovely man.

Tom Hanks was absolutely incredible in this film. I think it will always be his best performance. He probably realizes it, too.

This scene in the movie brought me to tears, into an understanding of opera and I follow it now; and more sympathy with the causes of this different lifestyle so different from my straight world. I wonder how many experienced a life changing experience so profound. The last scene, the tear in Denzil’s character’s eye, when he’s unexpectedly moved. Powerful!

Hidden message @3:00 He says I am God as the red light covers his face. While Denzel's face is in darkness, it symbolizes that those who are in darkness are listening to the devil's word as he claims, he is god, he is divine.

What a powerful scene! And when Joe went home, kissed his sleeping daughter, and then held his wife as he silently wept...I was moved beyond words. I cannot judge, it isn't my place. I don't understand the attraction between same sexes. I am a Christian woman, and have read God's stand and His actions on this in the Bible. And for that reason, I personally believe that it is GOD'S WILL be done, in ALL things, not ours.
