Doesn't really make any difference; in the US officials don't answer questions they just repeat the rehearsed reply! How does saying "we comply with blah, blah regulations" answer if you have raised concerns with the FAA? I understand your sentiments but it is possible that many seasoned reporters have realised that they are not going to get an answer anyway so don't bother asking! I would have been more impressed if the reported had continued "I am not questioning your compliance with regulations, what I am asking is if you have raised concerns; it's a simple yes or no answer, you either have or you haven't, and if you don't want to answer that question, what do you have to hide?"!

How is it ok to fly training runs, right in the glide path of one of the busiest airports in the country? Simple calculation shows if these two aircraft had a combined head on speed of 300 mph, it would take 1/2 of a second to travel 200 feet. The 200 ft is supposed to be the safety margin....any one else see a problem with that?
@deborahgauwitz13762 күн бұрын
Just recently other flights have had to abruptly change course because of helicopters.

@@theelmonk No, I'm not imagining anything like what you said. Military training should not be conducted to where it puts the public at risk. @@robertv6628 yes I understand. And that may exactly have been what happened. In the video footage I saw when this story first happened you can see the flight coming in to land on the left, the chopper in the middle and another plane flying in on the right side of the chopper. When you combine it with the audio, the pilot might very well have been looking over to the right and having that plane clearly in sight just did not see the other one until the last second and it was too late. I was able to listen to the audio between the helicopter and the air traffic controllers, the helicopter accepted responsibility to say if it saw the airplane, he said he saw it but he acknowledged seeing the wrong one, he did not see the airplane that he crashed with, that airport is very busy, I read that many pilots say they don't like flying into it because of the danger of a military aircraft flying through those who are lined up to land, they'll have to fix it now but will be too late for those that lost their lives.

There were clearly 2 planes and the helicopter in the original video shown almost at the time of the accident. @alisonwilson9749 what report he hasn't seen a report? who's being threatened? bro has no idea what he's yapping about, they just said it's already an existing issue and fault at a far deeper level than women or veterans in control towers

Aviation accidents have occurred since the dawn of manned flight - and in far greater numbers than in recent years. But suddenly, something is happening to America?

I agree, didn’t even attempt to pull up or turn away. Clearly, the helicopter has windows and front lights to see ahead of them, how can you not see a huge aircraft with flashing lights right in front of your own eyes? So suspicious!

Imagine dying tragically in a freak accident and people speculating with certainty that you did it on purpose. What a slap in the face…
@diamond_gamerssidebyside51782 күн бұрын
there’s actually a multitude of reasons on why the helicopter pilots couldn’t or didn’t avoid the airliner and vice versa. You’re extremely ignorant to make stupid assumptions when you have ZERO idea on what was happening inside the cockpit or on the situation. Situations similar to this has happened before and not a single one of them was intentional.
