People can’t afford the mattress for their guest room like you can. I would have thought you’re more in touch with your “people”, and know that. But the sponsorship brings the $$$$$ just like sharing your children’s private stories of adoption with the internet. And yes, it makes me angry. Because I’m adopted and it’s my story, not anyone else’s. Your girls should have the chance to chose whether or not people know THEIR story. Any response from you, Phil or Alex? Would love to know why you think it’s okay to share such highly sensitive, private information on the internet. I hope they don’t grow up to care, but most of us do actually have sensitivity and privacy regarding OUR stories.
@saragoff90652 жыл бұрын
She’s not telling Your Story. She’s telling Her family’s story. If it upsets you so much, maybe you shouldn’t watch. As far as the mattress ad, they are doing what they need to do. They deserve to have sponsors. They shouldn’t have to turn down a sponsorship because it’s a large purchase item. Phil and Alex are constantly sharing how to save money. I hope you can get past your anger. Your story is yours. But I don’t think it’s fair to judge them for sharing their own. 💚
@jessicagrgich15232 жыл бұрын
@@saragoff9065 my story is my own. And their girls is their own. It wasn’t my parents story to tell the internet and it’s not theirs either. No child should be on the internet on Volgs. It develops para social relationships with complete strangers. I’m sure you’re a lovely person, but there is so many predators out there that watch this channels for the child content. I really wanted Phil or Alex to answer the question. Maybe I’ll change my mind about their reasoning for sharing such personal information with everyone. You can vlog all you want without showing your children and talking about their lives. I’m not angry at being adopted. I’m angry that children who have been adopted deserve privacy and their story told by them if they chose to. And I don’t watch anymore them anymore after watching videos exposing how many predators are tuning in to watch and questioning what it would be like to have private moments shared to the world and then face your peers at school. It just came onto my recommend.
@saragoff90652 жыл бұрын
@@jessicagrgich1523 thank you for replying and being nice😁 I understand your stance on privacy for the kids and their stories. I think I was more shocked that you were upset about the sponsor. And I apologize for upsetting you. I didn’t mean being upset about being adopted. I meant that about how they share their kids lives. And thank you for explaining why you feel a certain way about certain things. I totally respect that. I am not adopted. I cannot claim to know how it feels and everything that goes with it. Again, I apologize if I offended you. 💚

I am a vegetarian wildlife conservation biologist and I fully support hunting. Hunters are the largest contributors to conservation. To add to what you said about over population, hunting overpopulations helps to prevent spread of disease and overeating of vegetation which lead to suffering of deer and other species.

Alex...I am so in awe of your guys' journey. I just moved my family to western Montana to get out of the grind of big city. One of the things we invested in is a freeze dryer. It is a large initial expense but overall an amazing savings for self-sustaining. I have 20 gallons of milk and about 20 dozen eggs done already. Along with Bone Broth, stew, etc...I am planning on having a huge garden next year as well. Might be something to consider...

Hi. Haven't even finished your most recent vlog and I needed to stop and come on here and say... I'm so grateful you are talking about the animal parts of farming and cooking and health and all the things.🙂 And that's coming from someone who has a complete range of eaters in our home. I want to learn and this part is very helpful. I also think the disconnect from what people are eating is astounding to me. Knowing where any of your food comes from and how it's cared for is so important. Ok, end of rant. haha Mostly I just wanted to say Thank You. I've learned so much from yall and am always down for more knowledge, so Thank You again! Hope everyone is well and enjoying this season and the one fast approaching. 🙂❤️

Most people that watch homesteading channels like to watch all the ins and outs of homesteading. Of course, you are also a family, trying to grow, so I can understand that audience as well. You could always post a video titling it about the deer or the chickens, so that your viewers can choose to watch it or not. We can't make everyone happy all the time, but it's your family's life that you share to all of us, and we love that. Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL WHO LIVE IN AMERICA. What you cooked Alex is what we would call a large Yorkshire pudding in the UK. We have them individually, and we have them served with Roast Beef, roast potatoes, parsnips, then your vegetables and not forgetting the gravy. Sustainability for your family is not right for everyone, and I get that, however you have to do what's right for your family, I personally love Venison, very lean, rich meat but tastes amazing. Not sure difference between a Buck and Doe meat, and was free. Well done Philip on your successful hunting trip. With your meat birds ready to be processed you should be set for the winter.

Phil and Alex, have a blessed Thanksgiving! I’m not sure if you will read this but I know you have been sharing about your family’s struggles with ADHD. Both my children have ADHD among other things including cardiac issues and I wanted to stay as far away from stimulant medications as possible with them for a number of reasons including concerns over the chemicals these medications contained and contraindications with their cardiac issues. I am not here to do a “commercial” for this website or their products, I’m just sharing what worked for my family from this company after the recommendation of a homeopathic practitioner/chiropractor my children see even now that they are adults. After much research into these products for compatibility with my children’s specific issues we have used homeopathic items from a website called Native Remedies with great success. Obviously consult with your physician before trying any type of supplements to ensure the ingredients are safe to use with your specific conditions, however their products were cleared for use with my children by their cardiologist and have worked better than any prescription they were initially given for their ADHD. This company has other products beyond their focus and anxiety supplements from essential oils to fertility supplements. Just thought I would share this in case you might be interested in researching their products.

Whatever she enjoys or gives her relief. Look on Pinterest. A lot of people with ADHD do not use medication. Therapy, exercise, yoga, deep pressure from weighted blanket/ trampoline jumping gives deep pressure as well. Lower sugar and caffeine intake. Keep a routine and use a timer. Figure out how she learns: visual, hands on, etc. all very similar things I use for my son with ASD.

My children (now 25 and 26) have used herbal supplements from a website called Native Remedies for years after the concern over prescription medications and their cardiac issues because most ADHD prescriptions are stimulant based which are a no go with their heart conditions. You might want to research their products and definitely discuss with a physician before trying anything herbal but it really helps my family!

What was the name of that egg recipe thing you just showed us that looks really good I'd like to try it is it eggy tasting is it sweet what exactly is it
@lanieleigh99702 жыл бұрын
It’s called a Dutch Baby. It’s a type of “pancake” and is very good. The recipe doesn’t contain any sugar except for what you top it with when serving but you can add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar to the batter if you want it sweeter. It’s not eggy at all! I make mine in 6 inch cast iron skillet for each member of my household so they are single servings instead of one great big one and then top it with fresh fruit and vanilla yogurt. It’s really good with jam or maple syrup too! You don’t have to use cast iron though you can use any shallow pan that is oven safe for temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit/232 degrees Celsius. Her recipe based on what she says in the video is as follows: Dutch Baby Pancakes 4 eggs 1 cup flour 1 cup milk Splash of Vanilla Approximately 3 to 4 tablespoons of Butter Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit with cast iron pan inside. Mix first 4 ingredients. Add butter to skillet after it has finished preheating. Add batter to pan and bake for 18 minutes. Top with fruit, powdered sugar, jam, or maple syrup. I would like to add the following… if using another type of pan make sure it is oven safe to the temperature or it will ruin your pan, I’m not sure what type of flour she is using (she usually mills her own flour) but you can use all purpose flour, I always put a baking tray under my pan so if it overflows it’s not all over the bottom of the oven.
