I feel parents have their children in every sport, dance , and every evening filled with keeping children busy and they are overloaded and burned out ! No one is benefiting and everyone is just staying afloat exhausted and life as a family is forgotten. You are on the right track children just want to be home playing , learning and family just chilling ..If parents are happy so are their children.
@BellaBella284 Жыл бұрын
Kids being in sports (especially team sports) is really good for them. In our house if the kids are happy the parents are happy. They do whatever sports they want to and we take them there. It’s part of being a kid 🤷♀️

You're doing AMAZING! Knowing when to say when is a very difficult concept to grasp. My house has 2 adult 3 kiddos. 4 of the 5 of us have ADHD. I ALSO HAVE OCD. It's been a tough road but where finding our groove. We just went through a HUGE upheaval. My husband is in the process of changing jobs(after 12 years at the same place) it's a lot because he's an owner operator. I run the business side in addition to running the household, remodeling the house, dealing with some serious medical problems etc.....every story is different but the fact that we're able to relate on any level is a beautiful thing. I love watching you and your family. Your girls are getting so big and beautiful.....and UNBELIEVABLY SMART! You are clearly doing an amazing job in every aspect of your life. Don't be afraid to give yourself credit for the things that you do accomplish....rather than being hard on yourself for things that you don't. Keep your head up! As always, keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you all lots of love!

I love that you said everyone’s capacity is different. 😭 I’m starting to realize this. I am so hard on myself because I want to do so much more than I do. I compare myself to others & get frustrated I can’t do as much as them. I’m in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy & am so frustrated that I am always fatigued. I’ll have days where I need to just rest… but I see others active & successful every day. We all have our limits. Everyone is different. Thank you for helping me realize this.

Thank you for sharing this! I get so stressed comparing myself to others but these reminders are so helpful. I got so frustrated once wondering why my house is never clean and my friends are. That day I refenced the chickens and laid a new veg patch and suddenly realised why I never have time to make a perfectly clean house but I know other people say to me that they wish they spent as much time outdoors. Swings and roundabouts.

We just have chickens now. I think for us, we need to concentrate on perhaps one or two things, and buy the rest?

Yeah. I just don’t see how you can put a name on something then kill it. One maybe 2 meals eaten in 20 min is the respect you have for life? Idk. Just sucks for the animals to grow a bond with you and you just say okay, I’m about to take your last breath. Then again you are raping them forcing pregnancy on them.

This is really important. I know Phil asked about perseverance and Cal had a great response, but sometimes, "giving up" or simply stopping isn't a wrong answer. We lost our son 40 minutes after he was born after 8 years of IVF and infertility and endometriosis surgeries. We had to stop. We almost lost our marriage, we lost sight of who we were, and in the end, something had to give. We have a child in Heaven and will never have one Earth side. We are childless not by choice and that is okay too. We had to realign our dreams. IVF doesn't always lead to a child and this side of things is important to hear too. So happy to see the girls all growing up!

Will you be able to eat those pigs? (I mean - since they have names, etc.), can Phil slaughter them? I used to have to leave on the days when my husband did chickens.. I never went into the chicken house, and any cows we planned to eat, we kept in a neighbors pasture, and their cows were in our pasture, so I never had to "know" any of the animals we used for food.. I - just couldn't do it. I can eat Venison, but I do NOT want to see it hang for the week or so before it went to the butcher. I see profile pics on fb of people holding up the heard of the "8 pt buck" they are so proud of, and I - am completely grossed out... I am ok with eggs! LOL
