Freaking awesome overlay... well done Vegan Cyclist. I'm out of breath at half those watts in half that time... incredible effort.

These are great, Tyler! Thought I had commented on this before but I guess not. I'd personally love to see HR overlay, and....what would be REALLY sick is if there was also gear selection overlay. Obviously that can't be done with mechanical groupsets, but surely it's possible with electronic, right?!

thanks for the data overlay and now I'm gonna puke. I can't even do 400 watts for 3min let alone 9. last time I tried to get a local KOM I did 330W for 3min and I was gonna cough up a lung and kidney it hurt so bad.

I just can't grasp the the power + duration. FTP in the 420-430 range. I will think of this next time I can't finish a 3 minute jobber at 345W.
@BobMorrisWI7 жыл бұрын
George Puskar same!
@StealthElectronVIP7 жыл бұрын
How does one improve their duration? My top end power is pretty good I think. 15 second 1100w, 1 minute efforts around 600w and 3 min around 400w but my FTP is abysmal around 220w.
@BrentPlumme7 жыл бұрын
Wow quite interesting. I'm on the other side of the spectrum. 1minute effort about 450W, 3minute around 330W, FTP is 310W.
@Daniel-ng8fi6 жыл бұрын
there's no way thats possible. You can hold 310 for an hour but can't hold 20 watts more for longer than 3 minutes?

I just bumped into this one, and OMG!! this is both, absolutely awesome and totally depressing. I'm in awe at those power figures. Around 500W almost all the time. And here is an amateur that sweats it out on the trainer in the winter to improve, and still only an FTP roughly half of that figure. May be you should start pumping out videos about how to train more efficiently, there sure is a market :-P. Or how to recover quicker while staying clean!! Thanks for posting. Loved your books btw

Something doesn't add up. At the beginning of the ride, the existing KOM was said to be 9:57. At the finish, the time is 9:47, but the head-to-head icon indicates Phil was 23 seconds ahead. Perhaps a typo somewhere? Regardless, Phil showing what world class, non-doping rider, can achieve - remarkable!

Awesome. I live locally and have done this climb and you would drop me in a second. I use Heart Rate and zones. Spin above 100 rpm with 50/34 and 32 or 34 on the back. Is that a Garmin overlay? Your wattage is almost double mine on average.
