I really look up to this dude. He’s knowledgeable and successful. I try to emulate the strategy of the best players because they are successful. This isn’t some stupid poker coaching from a broke tournament player. This is solid advice from a someone who has been successful for more than a decade.

This is pure gold in under 10 minutes. Poker will be getting even harder with this type of content available for free... Thanks Phil, really appreciate you putting this out there. Have a like and subscribe my friend 😃👍

No, POKER will not be getting harder because Phil is leaving these tips, They got mad at Doyle Bronson 70 years ago for coming out with his book because they thought it was going to ruin poker. The big key here, is most people are exceptionally lazy. And that’s why we can make a living playing poker - even with incredible training material like this, available for free.

That point at about 5.30 ie that some players don't know why theyre betting is a very deep one. There are a lot of extremely fundamental poker concepts mentiomed here in a very clear way. Brilliant! Ty, Phil!

Thanks Phil, great series of videos. On #4 it's hard to compare betting on earlier streets to the river because if you most likely have the best hand, in my opinion you want to bet so you don't give your opponent a free 🆓 card ♠️.

Great video. Value betting in spots where there aren't enough weaker hands the opponents can call with is one of the most reliable tells that someone is on the weaker side of the spectrum.

Why or how can you be so good Phil Galfond!
@arnoldPLO5 Жыл бұрын
At mistake 5 I would add that against passive bad players, betting small with your weak value and bet big with your strong value hands yields the most EV. It is the typical thin value bet on the river you do not want to miss out on. So it is only a mistake against good aggressive opponents.

Phil this is a very good, content, love the channel. But you need to process your audio better! Either record at a lower level and amplify it in post, or use what is called a "limiter" to prevent all that clipping. Or hire me as your producer!

I think a lot of these "tips" are not useful at low stakes. At low stakes our opponents aren't particularly thinking about what we are doing.

Hey Phil! Love the video! I have an idea/suggestion, my subconsciousness brought up this gem of yours lately - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp7LlqGOj7iBnq8&ab_channel=RunItOnce I recall once in a RIO monthly elite call you answered a question of mine and said that your off-table study is revolved around game-planning against opponnents. I would love to see a follow up/revisit of that video in that kinda vein, how do you approach game plan and building exploitative game plans.
@PhilGalfond2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion, Alex! I remember that that video took me forever! But I like the idea for a future video. Maybe I can figure out how to product it faster.
