2014 - 2018: Silverado / Sierra - Center Console Upgrade w/PnP Harness

For those of you with a Jump Seat in your 2014 - 2018 Silverado/Sierra and looking to upgrade to the Full Center Console, here is a video showing my Plug and Play Harness and how easy this upgrade can be!

The date is 3/4/22 ordered this harness from this guy. Received it in 3 days, quality product. I had some troubles with my truck having a blown fuse, the guy spent the better part of the day on the phone getting my issue sorted out. Harness is about as easy to install as you could want. Well, I finally got the center console and jump seat swap finished. I will add a couple of comments or tips for anyone that is doing this. Before you set the center console in the truck, you need to look at some plastic pieces that hide a support for the dash that is just to the right of the gas pedal. If you pause Mr. Gamboa's video at 5:57 you will see the bare support to the right of the gas pedal. There are two pieces of black plastic that hide that support that must be removed or the side skirt on the driver's side will never fit into place. ] Another tip is that the side skirts can only be installed after the console is bolted in place but BEFORE you snap the top of the console with all of the electronics into place. There are slots in the side skirts that accept a plastic blade that aligns the top to lock the skirts in place. If you don't know about these items, you will take the new console in and out several times because things just won't fit correctly. I hope that this helps someone.

I just got finished swapping out the jump seat for a center console using Phil's video and wiring harness. Everything worked just like he showed and it was super easy. If you are really serious about making this upgrade then get order the parts direct from GM and purchase a wiring harness from Phil. You cannot go wrong. I ordered a console from eBay, the full brand new console and then the harness from P. Gamboa. I had questions and after emailing, I received responses within minutes. I bought my first console off LKQ. 2nd Console was off of eBay as a takeoff. Many on the GM-Trucks forum are buying new the GM Wholesale sites online. If you want to buy it all new, I have a list of part #s for you. If you want to buy a used console, then any 2014 - 2018 will physically fit. If you can get a 2018, even better, as it will have the latest wireless charging module (if it has wireless charging). Be sure to not get the console that has rear system entertainment (RSE).

I have a 2017 high country. I want to go from a center console to a jump seat. I’m a ham radio operator and CB. I would prefer mounting the radio bracket right to the center hump so I don’t have to chop up my console. Absolutely! I have upgraded the wireless charging module and mine works for iPhone 8 and X. The part # is 13521066. They are found on the 2018 SUVs. GM changed the connector to the module, so your existing connector will not fit. I make pigtails for this that I started offering on the GM-Trucks site. Check this thread out. Dannon Voight - The most OEM method would be to find a 2018 Lid that already has wireless charging. Any other previous year will have the older charging module which doesn’t charge iPhones or newer android phones. If your truck came with the console, you’re best bet will be to splice the lid cable to the rear 12V plug.

Have you run across the module for the seat heaters? I read it was located under that center console somewhere; which is how I saw your well done video. The module is GM 23192138. All 4 front elements on my 2014 Silverado are not working and this is common. Just trying to find where it is physically located to troubleshoot further. Thanks

This is wild, I was just hanging out with my buddy who has the GMC Sierra loaded and I was thing wow that a nice console he has in his GMC. bikepro120 - The jump seat itself doesn’t have the 110VAC. This is an option that is located under the front of the dash (ash tray location). If you truck doesn’t have 110VAC now, you won’t be able to feed that into the 110VAC on the full center console.

I am trying to update the interior on my 2015 GMC Sierra. It is the Elevation Edition, and is a Double Cab, this is the first newer vehicle I have owned, and am wondering if this full center console could be converted into it? I guess by VIN my truck is considered a “Base”. I don’t know of any Base Double Cabs that have these, only the Crew Cab SLE and up trim packages. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Phil, I would love to upgrade my 2015 to the full console! My only concern is, will this void my warranty on the vehicle? I purchased an extended 5yr/60,000 mile all parts and components warranty and obviously don't want that jeopardized. What do you think?

I don't see how this upgrade would void warranty. What we are essentially doing here is extending the connection under your passenger seat (that plugs into the jump seat) and adapting that to the center console. The dealer would have the prove that this upgrade caused something else to fail....

I will be ordering a complete console on Monday 11/11/19. It will be out of a wrecked 2018 gmc sierra 1500 crew cab SLT. My truck is the 2017 gmc sierra 1500 SLE double cab. I already have the 12 volt and 110v outlets next to ash tray. The guy is supposed to send console along with any and all wires and cables that's connected to it. This may be hard to understand but I don’t have the full center consul but I want to add the three USB connection as well as an extra 12 V cigarette plug. I Minnewil chair of my vehicle is custom-made so I don’t have a normal center consul I only have one cigarette plug 110 V and to USB. Phil, i have the console in my 2014 Silverado, but I want to pull it and swap in a jump seat. Would there be much difference in connections if I did so or is it more plug n play with the factory harnesses that are currently in place?

Would you be able to put this console In a truck that had the floor mounted 4x4? Not sure if you could cut it out where the shifter would be?

If your silverado or suburban per say did not come with the wireless charging feature but has the full center console. How could to add it meaning where would you get the wire harness and where should it plug into the vehicle so you could then put the pig tail and pad separate to complete the kit..

Awesome video! Is the console lighter then the jump seat? I've always been curious. For some reason I've always been partial to the jump seat over the full console I have.

The console is the same color as dash. I've got the Jet Black interior. There are many variations to this console between years, colors, options. For example, 14/15 will not have a charging lid whereas later 15+ may have it. 14/15 models may come with a triple USB Hub up front and an SD Card Slot in the inside compartment. 16+, GM went with a Dual USB Hub up front and omitted the SD Card.

You will have to find a console. Please check out the thread in the description for more info. There are lots of members that provide different ways to get this console. I don't sell the console, just the harness to connect it up. As for ordering this harness, I am sold out right now and waiting for a back ordered component. It will be two weeks before that component ships. Please check out the link for more info. I post all this info there. I have a 2015 chevy Silverado it’s a bone stock truck I wanted to replace the jump seat console and it has a car charger a aux and 2 USB ports if I did this would that screw up the harness if the one piece console has more features and outlets? Thanks!

What are all the parts needed for this swap? I look on the site and they have the console, but it looks like the lid and some other pieces have to bought separate? That’s going to bring it close to 1k if that’s the case.
