Believe it or not, I still regularly miss Strike Back. Not the new crap version. I feel Strike Back is the best show in its genre, the seasons with Damien & Mike that is. Like Philip says, it just worked. It was freaking awesome. Flashpoint had a similar kind of magic, but I still prefer Strike Back.

His mother is English and although born in the US he did live in the UK in his early adult years (I think he attended drama school in London). So I suppose you could say his natural accent is both English and American. He can no doubt switch effortlessly between them

It's cool to hear of the bond developed between the production team and the actors. One can tell how much they've invested of themselves in the series, and that they have formed friendships that will be life-long. To Philip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton and all of the rest of the show, you've given your fans something very special which won't be forgotten. "Strike Back" raised the bar very high-indeed for what shows of its type could be. And for goodness sake's, guys, please get the (original) band back together and do a feature length movie, miniseries, or something!

This is without a doubt the most underrated premium channel series all time. It’s not just gun fights and explosions. Plot and story lines are brilliant. Character development, spot on and you actually buy in. The show ties in how many different terrorist/political groups? IRA, Cartel, Islamic terrorist organizations, gun traffickers, African rebel groups, etc. List goes on. Was super sad to see it end and equally as thrilled now that it’s back. Three episodes into the new season with an entirely new cast and somehow, feels the same. Well done, Cheers.

Kris, amongst the many many reasons I have loved this series is their willingness to go where more-PC shows won't go - i.e., not shying away from portrayals of Islamic terrorists or of the IRA, for example. They dealt with the phenomenon of raiders in Africa taking women hostage, and in another, the series highlights the evil of human trafficking gangs in the Balkans, capturing girls and young women to be addicted to drugs, made into sex slaves and sold to the highest bidder. Yet another shows jihadists being recruited in Chechnya. Raising awareness of these things, all of which really happen in the world, is not just entertainment, it is a public service.

They are both great but together they are unstoppable. It's their chemistry that carries the show. How their friendship develops slowly and realistically. It's so wonderful and believable. I miss this show so so much. I hope they work together in the future but I doubt lighting will strike (back) twice. Would love to see a movie if it's done right.

My wife and I really loved this man (Phiip Winchester) and Sullivan Stapleton and THIS SHOW (STRIKE BACK). We watched it when it first came out on cinimax and loved every moment of the show . It was NEVER dull. We are now on our 2nd go-around watching this show again in 2021 and have the same thrills again. It hasn't gotten old. I would like to know why Hollywood hasn't put Phillip in more movies and most of all he would be the BEST JAMES BOND. Do you hear Hollywood? And he's a nice man.

I found Strike Back by accident cuz Cinemax doesn't broadcast in Canada. I absolutely loved it, was and AM hooked. I love the chemistry between the two, and would give up watching Blindspot to see SB the movie. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE A MOVIE AND IT HAS TO BE WINCHESTER AND SULLIVAN. No one else will do!!

I thought nothing would come close to equalling my beloved Banshee, (also commissioned by cinemax), but then I got Strike Back season 2 Project Dawn, just to check it out. I now have Seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and will no doubt get 8! What a show! For four seasons, Stapleton and Winchester were great. Still great after they left though. But a guest appearance too in Season 6, Retribution, ah treat!

Phil is amazing, I love him so much (no homo) Just ended watching The player and It's sad they cut the episodes off. Great to see that Sulli is doing good on Blindspot but personally, I liked The Player a little more. Phil needs and deserves more opportunities. Paula Tauetama: It's not working is it. They have tried to replicate a formula that as Phillip himself says here, even the team themselves didn't know what it was. Just that it worked and it was gold when it hit the screen. I've given up on the new series already and will keep watching repeats of the old seasons.

Action is decent, but not likely four previous seasons. Wish Left Bank Pictures and Cinemax should of went with the original plan of doing a feature film focusing where Scott and Stonebridge left off after the last season. I honestly think that would of made fans very happy.

The thing I liked about the show is the attention to detail and the obvious commitment to tactical training. Much has been made about Keanu Reeves and his gun handling in John Wick movies but Winchester is MUCH better. It is obvious that he really committed to the training. The latest group does a decent job and the short gal is exceptional as well. They don’t always get it right with tactics and weapons handling but it is so much better than every other show out there. I could do without the ridiculous soft porn parts of the show because it doesn’t add anything. When you are in a high op tempo group you aren’t spending time on mission sleeping with women- It would be outstanding if it were true but just too many other things happening.
