Would you say it’s suitable for a beginner? I’ve never flown an rc plane before but messed around with drones a little bit years ago.

Yes this plane is very beginner friendly . All E-flite planes have a SAFE flying mode and gyro stabilization . The new Spektrum transmitters also have downloadable flight models for each plane making set up very easy . Link below is their starter plane . It comes with everything needed . Hey Phillip, I just got one of these and out of the box ... the elevator and rudder aren't level ... elevator has a bit of down elevator and rudder seems to have a bit of right rudder setup. I noticed that yours seem to have the same setup. I've always levelled my other planes (might you ... the are 950 to 1200mm sized)

Thanks for watching and commenting . Yes mine needed a little bit of adjustment before flight . Kinda funny seeing as it has better links than most UMX planes do with just their wire U shape or horn connection to adjust . And most of the UMX planes I have the control surfaces have been dead straight out of the box . Not so much with the bigger planes though and they need to be checked real close . Hello Philip 👋 a good unboxing and a great explanation of the working parts of the umx timber x. I have the umx turbo timber and love it a great little plane for small flying areas but the timber x does look like it's more rugged. Did you know that the top piece of foam holding the plane in the box can be turned upside down and used as a stand for the plane at least it is the way it works for the umx tt I'm sure that it will be the same for timber X looking forward to see the maiden flight your friend Marty from Canada 🇨🇦 🛩 🛩 Ps. Where in Canada are you from?

Hey Marty . Thanks for watching and for the comments . I have several UMX planes including the TT . It's an awesome plane . Having a lot of fun with the big 1.5m too . That's a great tip about the foam from the box . I keep all the umx boxes . Now that i have a nice runway I can do some videos on the others that have small wheels , like the Citation Longitude . I'm located a few hrs north of Toronto , near Collingwood on Georgian Bay . Have a great week my friend .

I just maiden flight of my T28 Trojan and a few flights of the umx tt, man is the T28 Trojan really steady in the air what a beautiful plane to fly! @@martymannisto1109 That's awesome Brother , maybe we can meet one day and fly together . The Trojan is an awesome plane and pretty tough too , it's very light for its size and goes like a bomb on 4S . Best of luck with the TT EVO . It barely needs the flaps for take off . But they're nice to have to slow it down and for landings . I'm not ready to start messing with reverse thrust just yet though. LOL . It flys very predictably and well . And is a great all round plane . I've been using a 4S 3200 mAh in it and you can get 8 mins flight time. . Best of luck with the Commander too . It's a beautiful plane as well and flys great from all the reviews I've seen . Love the checkerboard design on the underside . I'm waiting for the weather to do my maiden on the E-flite RV-7 , got her ready last night . All planes are different , but the RV-7 , to me at least , is like the Cirrus and Commander combined . but it looks like it's a more performance driven model . It's very light for its size as well and looks crazy fast on 4S . I got my 850 mm pitts finally maidened yesterday , all good . Video up soon . Have a great week as well my friend .

Hi ZD , Its easy . Press the little camera icon next to the bell at the very top of the KZbin channel page , then select 'Upload Video' A new channel content page will appear and the screen will say "Drag and Drop video Here " ...and also ' click this to select files ' Once dragged or selected , the video will start uploading automatically. Its important to keep that screen open until it finishes . Now that you are on the channel content page , and a video is uploading . You can now give it a title and description , select other options like whether its Private or Public , That sort of thing . I hope that helps . Please let me know if you have any more questions 😀

I own this one and I do like most of the UMX planes and I love the A-10 but I give this one a 2 out of 5. It’s real tail heavy and just does not perform that great.

Thanks for watching . I only have a few flights on this one . I had to got back and watch some of my maiden flight video to remember a bit how this flys . I really need to give it some more time. Its a lot different than the UMX Turbo Timber , and does really seem to need a lot of throttle . I'm hoping to practice a little stunt flying with this as my skills improv , not really my thing but I think thats what this models more designed for . IDK . If I knew for sure they'd be upping the TT to 3S , like they have now , I probably would've waited on this one . I really love the UMX Pitts and P-51 Voodoo because of the 3S and amazing capabilities too . Excellent choices if interested or not already acquired . Cheers

I'm using the Spektrum NX Series Model Preset . Theres 2 different ones available for this plane . One says Basic and One with Flaps . I'm trying out both . Thanks for watching , They're pretty loud .Almost as much as some much bigger planes . LOL . The mic is only a few feet away yes , but you can hear my voice at the normal level in comparison . They surprised me too , that's why I looked them up to see that they are indeed a new servo variation on this plane .

@@PhilipCockram just got mine out of the box and was setting it up, yeah the servos are louder than I thought they would be. I'm still getting the hang of using a multichannel transmitter since I'm still new to this thing
