I toss a Coin to my Dawnwalker and boldly bet : *THIS* Game will not unlikely succeed and overwhelm Witcher 4 decisively. After seeing the very woke~ish seeming Witcher 4 Trailer - i think that Witcher 4 may go down the same Route as Dragqueen Age the Failguard. Yes, it *"will"* sell somewhat. But only because of the strong Name and Franchise of "The Witcher" behind it. It will probably be just as bad as Dragon Age "The Veilguard". This here ? This seems a *"LOT"* more like the Witcher III. Hence i am sold. 😎👍 Vampirize me now. My Wallet is ready. (lol)

I absolutely love the concept of each vampire being a soldier from different ethnicities/societies that are from different times of human society: The bald vampire appears to be carrying a Roman era weapon, probably a gladius, which could be a good indicator of how old the vampire is. (Fantastic storytelling right there) The other looks like Genghis Khan or any nomad from Mongolic descent. The blonde one seems to be inspired in King Arthur or some kind of English Knight, the woman looks that can be inspired in the Queen Bathsheba.

The game's gonna have a system where of good/evil where you are gonna the chance to feed yourself with innocent people but at the same time that's gonna end up with that zone being in "quarantine" or lockdown. So you're gonna have the chance to have the game "easier" by being more powerful but at the cost of less exploration, less shops and maybe even locking sidequests. It's a fantastic idea, you can play the game whoever you want. At the same time, if you do not feed yourself with human blood, you can end up eating a NPC before starting the conversation, and that can be a important character or not. IMO Those mechanics are fantastic.

@AdoreYouInAshXI12 күн бұрын
@@darkcorex4361 CDPR and Rebel Wolves are most definitely not rooting for each other. Rebel Wolves are made up of people that got fired by CDPR for allegedly being "toxic". It's the entire reason why they formed a studio to begin with, hence the name REBEL Wolves. As far as CDPR and The Witcher 4, most people don't mind Ciri, it's a combination of the fact that they made Ciri a Geralt clone, and they hired a bunch of gamejournalist/activists instead of quality game directors when they fired all the people involved with The Witcher 3. I'm not overreacting either. The leads that are working on this game have literally never worked on a game before. Mary Kenny was a Sweet Baby Inc employee before she was hired at CDPR, and now she's somehow the lead writer for The Witcher 4. This woman is a known racist, and has been all over X mocking gamers to boot. Then you have the lead artist who also has never worked on a game before The Witcher 4. His previous job was a game journalist from Kotaku. Oh, and let's not forget about the game director who said he wants to "explore sexism in the world of The Witcher". Yeah, people have good reasons to believe The Witcher 4 will be a woke mess. Just because you don't care doesn't change that.
@caulshivers102912 күн бұрын
@@darkcorex4361Actually the books are mostly told through Geralts POV, not Ciri's. The story is about Ciri, but we see it through Geralt. It's kind of like TLOU. The overall story is about Ellie and Joel's relationship, even though we spend 90% of the game playing as Joel. Besides, while the books may be about Ciri the games take place after the books and are about Geralt. So if the books are about Ciri the games are Geralts. Ciri wasn't even in the games, and was barely mentioned before the third Witcher.
@Hanadix12 күн бұрын
@@AdoreYouInAshXI "CDPR and Rebel Wolves are most definitely not rooting for each other. " That is definitely not true. The devs from both studios are all over twitter, saying that they are still friends, still meeting and playing games together, and that they are constantly sending things about their games to each other and most definitely rooting for each other. And that they don't like that people are creating unneccessary drama. Ther's no reason for pitting these games against each other. I won't say there are no reasons to be worried about the Witcher 4, most of what you wrote are valid concerns about the hired people. But we literally only had one trailer so far, and we don't know anything about the story, the quests etc, so I'll reserve judgement until we have more inormation, while some people have already decided that it will be bad no matter what. And regarding sexism, that is a big part of a medieval setting, fantasy or not, I see no problem with having quests that explore that. That is like saying that exploring racism in the world of the Witcher is woke, when it's always been a huge aspect of both the books and the games.

looks like they have an interesting way of creating more vamps in this verse. as a vamp grows older and more powerful, their fangs never stop growing. One pulls one out and sticks a human's heart with a fang to turn them. Merely feeding a human blood usually serves to heal, empower, and enslave one all at once.

Everyone assumes that because pretty much almost every vampire book, movie, tv show and game has it that to become a vampire you have to either be bitten by them or drink their blood or both, or you have to be born a vampire. I can't remember the last time I saw something where that wasn't the case. This game is the first time I've seen vampires created in a different way. Also, the MC is a Dhampir (half-vampire, half-human), that's why he can be in daylight, hence the name of the game Dawnwalker. Examples of other Dhampirs: Blade (from the Blade movies) and Vampire Hunter D.

The vampires are not essentially good, in this case I think the behaved like animals in the truthful sense, they didn't attack them because they saw both of them as not a menace. Just like an animal, most animals does not attack unless they feel in danger. But the devs said that this vampires in some way "protects" the peasants because they see them as cattle. If someone else kills them, you cant feed youself with them. (As you pointed out).
