As bad as this movie Is, the score Is the ONLY great thing about this movie, sure It's formulaic but It's feels acceptable, magical and fitting for a film like this. So I actually love the score by Hummie Mann, It's just the best thing about this movie for me.

Mann’s score is exceptional, it’s just a shame that everything around it was a bit wonky and bizarre to begin with and was completely ruined by the test audience recuts that completely changed the structure of the story, removing key characters, important dialogue, the list goes on and on. I mean what on earth did they think recutting the film so severely would do to help it? It definitely didn’t increase the box office takings. I have a soft spot for the film but it’s a complete bloody mess and even in its original state would have stood grossly at odds with the original series.

I was watching tatmr recently and it dawned on me during the chase that Thomas was literally the only thing standing between diesel 10 and lady/burnett. Had diesel got Thomas at the very least it would have given lady just enough time to get away with the impending viaduct collapse but at that point there is nowhere left to hide. Diesel knew about the buffers the location of the buffers and the magic railroad so there was nothing stopping him from either entering the magic railroad or destroying the buffers outright. Your 100% spot on it would have been game over.

Even though my VCR broke, I’m glad that I still have my VHS copy of Salty's Secret.

The only problem with this film is the misleading title, the concept that Britt was trying to do was definitely a great idea but let’s just say that test audiences were being very picky. There was only about 20 minutes of Thomas and that was it. Either way, it was pretty good
