2 cylinder Kubota mini tractor diesel engines have 8 valves i think.push about 12 to 14 hp.ive seen those run on small boats

In zambales they are using big plastic pvc pipes as outriggers instead of bamboo and it's more bouyant than bamboo...

Will if u have a sandy beach its OK, coz if it accidentally hit a pointy object or rock with lots of barnicles and get punctured ur done, he he, unlike bamboo it has compartments,

Good to see there are still white sand seashores like that with those kinds of houses in some parts of Cebu. The place I'm from in Bohol have almost no more white sand seashores that are not developed for resorts or owned by government and the few available are too expensive for the common people to buy. Them white shores used to be very cheap piece of land back then in the early 70's with cheap small nipa huts.

On every island there are hundreds if not thousands of boat builders and they all build the same style of boats so they are easy to find and you should use a local builder so you can be there to watch the build and for delivery you are right there.😊

I haven't started my boat yet, it is rainy season here so the wood stays too damp for good epoxy adhesion. I hope to start when it stops raining so often.

Yes it would work fine, however you may want 2 engines just to be sure you get home if one fails.

30000 pesos for that size of boat is reasonable specially when it uses hard wood.. In comercial boat maker you can get that size of boat for about 60 t0 70000..

805 gregg, I was toying with the Idea, using the other hull as an outrigger and another small diesel on both hulls. Will cut the resistance fourfold, and double the power. My deep draft motor- sailer will just not make it to the rocky shallows. you can hoist the sail too or solar panels for the trolling outboards, go forever, but I did not, will be 79next week.

Tell those fishermen to take something local onboard as life preservers. Something as simple a a few 2 or 3 liter soda bottles tied together will save a life.
