Hey Jay! I'm glad you finally made it back to Dumaguete. In my limited experience, the logistics of moving from one place to another in the Philippines can be a bit challenging. Having been in education for many years, I learned to have lots of patience. I am just one person traveling. I can imagine it can be a bit frustrating when you have your wife and child and things aren't going right. Well, three more weeks brother and I'm there!

That fantasy bubble is starting to burst! I early retired here 5 years ago and I have the exact, happy life I wanted with my girlfriend here in Cebu, but my "rainbows and unicorns' phase only lasted about 2 months. The sooner that bubble pops, the sooner you will become less frustrated.

@1RichardDell I've had a baby in this country, I've gone through co-id in this country. I dont think many men can handle this place. There is no bursting of rainbows. This place is constant learning. I'm pretty sure I'll be much happier in cebu city probably, hmmmm. Maybe change is coming.

@KingBeeinthePhilippines I've spent 3 years in cebu city. I know i like many things about the city. It's not a hard sell to me. I'd enjoy it. Duma is about learning if I see a future here for daughter when maybe college comes around. And to break away from being content in a city like cebu. I would be eating out alot more in the city. Here in Dumaguete it's easy not to eat out much.

@@jaysphilippines you need to focus jay and settle down, stay there in Duma for at least a yr, Cebu is a mess and getting more busy... Duma is the future with the best schools and slow lifestyle. learn the city, learn Valencia witch you have not even explored, stop traveling and focus dude your burning out. Valencia is fantastic.... you cant choose in 3 months of being in a hotel

Oh my goodness I was just there in cebu airport not too long ago and I hate to say this but that automated announcement in british accent was non stop and it was so killing me😂. But the international airport was amazing. Hope you guys are going to get use to the crazy but happy life in the Philippines.

Yikes that was intense at the beginning. Glad it all worked out for the bettter. LoL on the observations of the KZbinrs, that summed it up good on them, I’m noticing the same thing. I ain’t no artsy fartsy literature guy and I only know one poem ever, your vlog today remind of this poem from 1648 called “To the Virgins to Make Much of Time.” Check it out. You speak of this all the time about what this poem is about in the broader sense. Speaking of food, try sitting outside at Casablanca at night eating that delicious seared tuna appetizer with a good drink watching the people and traffic go by is mighty good relaxing. Take care Jay & family.

Got to take some time to breath and take one step at a time . Hell in the US , some people don't like the slower life in the south . I love it. But I knew about it before I vac in SC, or Tenn where my Kid, and GKs live now.

It is because you are dirt poor you can't live in nice places like the BGC so be patient. You are homeless in your country though and maybe living on the streets

@EyeofthetigerDragon OMG 😲. You nailed it, I mean, 💯 %. I'm going to hang in there best I can, patience. I'll try to be patient. Maybe one day. Just maybe, I'll be able to have a meal 😋 just once. Maybe McDonald's or Burger King in BGC.
