Nice comparison! I was almost about to leave Hue for Lifx because the brightness is just not high enough - but I'm happy to not have to. I much prefer the Hue product line (especially connected to a custom zigbee hub), and I've never had connection issues with Hue stuff ever.

I have a few of those splitters. They really do boost the brightness but it’s being able to have a combination of colours inside the light-shade I like most. Only thing people have to watch out for is the amount of space they need. It’s a bigggg difference!

Philips definitely need to upgrade there hue bulbs, 800 lumens is not bright enough sometimes, considering the amount of money they charge, and other manufacturers making much brighter bulbs..

I had to get the big 1600 lumen one; the regular ones aren’t bright enough to light up a small bedroom. :(
@estusflask9822 жыл бұрын
It's a tradeoff - brighter bulbs don't last as long as 800 lumen bulbs.

I have moved to dorms and I want a bulb which can light The whole room then how much lumens should i go for

i was simply looking for a replacement bulb for a ceiling fan in the living room that uses pull cords to switch on and off. the existing bulb was a GE 100 watt LE no wi-fi. It would seem that the only 100 watt equivalent i can find online is the Phillips A21 . Didn't want to buy a bridge and i have google mini running KASA switches to turn on floor lamps. Is it easy to Pair with google home without the added bridge ? will splitting 800 lumens really put out 1600 or is the effect just putting to low output bulbs next to each other ?

Random Question. Where did you get the black table/desk lamp from at 1:50?
@Justin_tech3 жыл бұрын
Link in the description. Black is out of stock currently but there is a brushed aluminum version or a similar one in black that's a spot light. I show them off more in detail this Thursday.

Who's gonna say no to brighter bulbs! I'm struggling to get a good lighting set up in my master br right now, can wait for these.
@d0nj032 жыл бұрын
Those both look strangely dim, that 1600 should completely light up that room if it was set up at the top and center. Something's not right with the camera maybe.

I really don't get people complaining about the brightness of Hue bulbs. Mine almost never work at more than 40% of their brightness. If I put them on 100%, planes start to descend.
