It seams button if you prefer connecting to the bridge that functionality is basically the same, they just changed the programming for the top and bottom buttons. At least they're using the same batteries as other accessories

Can you edit the button function on the old dimmer?

Great video, shame the Hue app is not that useful apart for Routines. Third party apps like Hue essential are much better, you can control lights & buttons much better for the remote on those apps.

Can I have it controlling 2 different strips in my living room, cycling between different setups where BOTH lights are included? Or would I need 2 switches for this?

At the end you say in the enhancements or v2 it's got magnets on the back, the old v1 one has those which you mentioned at the beginning.

I have a bridge with bulbs already configured in the app. Could I control a particular bulb with the dimmer switch as well?

If I don't use a bridge nor the app, can I have two remotes paired to each other?
@Siberius-2 жыл бұрын
I have 2 colour light bars and 1 non-colour ceiling light. I wonder if I could have the all controlled by the remote control to turn on and off, but also have the dimmer ONLY control the ceiling light and not the coloured light bars. Maybe in the scene selection thing... Otherwise I'd just have it control the ceiling light and use the app for the coloured lights.

Hello, very usefull video.Can you help me? I have a very large house, so the connection of the HUE bridge doesn’t reach that far. In our bedroom I have a ceiling light with 3 HUE bulbs. I configured them with the V2 remote (without bridge.) Everything works fine, only now I also have a bedside table with a Hue light. This can work together with the ceiling lights on 1 remote, but then they all go on or off at the same time! Can you configure them separately on 1 remote? I worked something out with 2 different remotes (without bridge), but this seems a bit too much for one bedroom… Or will things be more useful if I can connect them all to a bridge? Thank you for the feedback.

Hi, great review. I have one question...Can I connect/pair three Hue Dimmer Switches to one Philips E27 led bulb? so I can turn on and off the bulb with either of those three switches. thank you in advance

Great video! 👍 When I get my garden lights, I’m going to connect this switch to the bridge so we can easily control our outdoor lighting. I’m assuming you can control more than 10 lights if connected via the bridge?
@Leaptab3 жыл бұрын
I think I read somewhere the limit is 9, just check.
@josephj65213 жыл бұрын
@@Leaptab thanks for prompting me to verify. I checked. It says about maximum lights per switch: “10 if not connected to the Hue bridge”. So if the garden lights are connected to the hue bridge, that switch should handle more lights?

thanks for this video, enjoyed it. im wondering if you can control multiple light groups by clicking through. I'm guessing if you create a scene with each group and assign each group to a "click".. anyone done anything similar?
@michruz3 жыл бұрын
When the lights are on and the remote is idle, when you press the hue button, does it change the scene after the first or the second press? Mine changes on the second press as if the first press wakes up the remote. I would like to know if this is normal. Thank you.

Have you see this difference between v1and v2: V1 dimmer transition moved 12% when it pressed and the V2 moved 20%…. Do you know how can i change it ? Tanks
