How do I get the hue sync box to work with only my TV or does it only work with using other their devices
@Cblan12248 ай бұрын
Quick question. Does hue have led strips that sync to the tv as well? I know the bars do but i basically need to sync 2 15 foot led strips to the tv. One at the top of the wall to sync woth the top. One at the bottom of the wall to sync with the bottom of the tv. I have it set up like this with lytmi. Does hue have the ability to sync other led strips up with the tv synced lights?

Hello, I have philips tv with ambilight led built in behind the screen. In which case, do I need to buy sync box? Or do I need to buy sync box? (I will buy some light bulbs… for good ambition)
@jajonic2 жыл бұрын
Hiya, you do not need a sync box as the ambilight TVs already have the sync function in-built. Enjoy!

Great video 👍🏽👍🏽 So I can use the gradient light and use the app to manually change the colors if am not interested in syncing with the TV right??
@jajonic3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, there was an update to the app this month which means you can activate the gradient function without the sync box, on the gradient light. You can use the scenes, and also dynamic scenes where the colours move around on their own, or set standard colours with no tv or sync box involved. You will need the Hue Bridge v2.0 and the hue app updated to version 4.4. Hope that helps.

As of today there is still no HDMI Sync Box that'd support 4k at 120/144Hz.

Hi there, are you able to connect the HUE GO to the sync? I can't add it to an entertaiment room, it recognize only the bars
@jajonic Жыл бұрын
Yes, I tried it out a while back. I’ve also seen others do it on KZbin. You should be able to add it as an additional light. Do you have the Hue Go already dedicated to a different area?

Great video! How did you mount the Hue Play Bars at a 45 degree angle from the base plate on the back of the TV? The base mount has a single hole which only allows you to push a screw straight through to the back of the light. The problem is, it doesn’t let me turn the light at an angle on its side. I’m looking for a solution to angle these lights from the base, so I can shine them at the wall space above.

I know you spend quite a bit of money on this dream setup! Is it worth it in your opinion? I want to use Philips Hue but I don't know if I can justify the cost. Help! is it worth it?
@jajonic3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching. Depends on your budget and if you have any other hue lights already. The Hue system is very responsive and I like that I can alter it by adding my Hue Gos from the bedroom to add to the effect. The Light Mi Neo Sync box could be a good alternative if you don’t want to shell out the cost for a full Hue system, or the Govee immersion kit, if you don’t mind the camera which sticks out. I think the Hue system works great and is the best sync system currently available but it is quite expensive and the alternatives are worth looking into.

Ah thats annoying! Did you find where the issue was? There is a few different parts to the system so not as easy to find out which part isn’t playing ball.

Light mi neo looks better, i guessed.
@jajonic3 жыл бұрын
The Light Mi Neo is another great alternative that also uses a HDMI sync box. It’s more affordable option and can integrate with Tuya Smartlife if you have other products in that ecosystem. It only supports 4K @ 30fps unless you use an HDMI splitter, so that’s something to factor in if you connect a games console. Would also have to use a splitter to plug in multiple inputs as it only has the single input and output. That said the responsiveness and colour replication look good from what I’ve seen. I do however like the how simple the Philips hue light strip install is with the protective tubing and how easy it is to add another light to sync in the hue system, and integrate with other smart home systems. Thanks for highlighting

@@jajonic they released light mi neo 2.0 and now supports hdmi 2.0 hdr and 4k60
@jajonic3 жыл бұрын
@@marklouieadame thanks! Yes I’ve heard about this. This will then match the Hue system for how much data it can pass through. The Hue system can also support 1440p @ 120hz through a software update so has a bit of an edge if one wants to utilise that, but I know Light Mi Neo aim to release an HDMI 2.1 version in the not too distant future, which will be cool. Both will work great!

@@workingonabetterfuture1872 are you trying to setup the sync box for the first time? What’s the Issues you are seeing? In regards to which HDMI port on the TV, any should be fine as long as it supports HDMI 2.0. Are you planning to connect a games console?
