Philips smart tv no standby light issue fix

This Philips 4k ultra HD smart tv was completely dead (No standby light). Then I did a quick troubleshoot steps to figure out the issue. The issue was in the power supply and the video explains that how I fix the power supply issue.

You sir, THANK YOU!!! I have the 55PUS6101/12 and it worked. I bought a sk510c from internet, on aliexpress it cost like 1 euro for 20 pieces, but i bought one here in store for 10 euro for 1. But it fixed my problem. I tried to use my multi meter, but i am not an electrician so didn't know how it would work on a pcb. But i just tried it, thought worst thing it will happen is i lose 10 euro, tv is already broken so it didn't matter. It works!!!!!! You saved me at least 300 euro for a new tv and a decent one starts from 1000 euro. May God bless you!

Thanks a lot for sharing. I had the exact same problem with my 65PUS6162/12 and it was one of the 2 rectifiers SR810 which was broken. You saved me 1500 Eur for buying a new TV ;-)

Your video is very explanatory and thanks for providing such a excellent video. My TV model is Philips 65PUT6800/98. Power supply board no:715G6887-P01-006-002M. Initially the problem I face is No front red stand by light at all. After followed your video found that the out of 2 barrier diode at rear of the board 1 is faulty same as yours. I tested tv with existing good diode and the red light is working and able to switch on the tv. But now there is no picture and when shine the light on the screen can see the images. What other parts on the PSU can be faulty. Thanks and awiting your answer.

This is most probably the LED back light issue. You may need to replace the backlight. It should be done very carefully, because there is a probability to back the LCD during the dissembling/assembling. But again you need to confirm by testing the LED back light using a backlight tester before removing. And also make sure that there is no issue in the LED driver circuit in the power supply board. Good luck.

Half screen dark mean the backlight is not turning on that side? If yes, you can see very dark images inside the screen if you use use a flash light to see that. If you see very dark images in that side, most probably some LEDs are damaged in that side of the screen backlight. You can do following test to identify whether it is backlight LED or LED driver circuit issue. - If you able to swap the LED power lines in the power board side you can see the other side is dark and the dark side is working if the issue is in LED driver circuit. Then fix the power board driver issue or replace the power board. - If the dark side is not swapping, the issue is in LED backlight. Then change the LEDs.

I was lucky, my tv didn't have components issues like burnt or else...I just fixed similar TV myself 47pfl6008k/12 with no extra knowledge..mine has only 2 red blink over 4 minutes...po power, no stand by..i checked everything I could find online in one day....took apart the motherboard, heated the ceramic heatsink to 130 degrees celsius, removed it with a wooden stick so I didn't damage any components, insulated with aluminum foil all over the board except the processor and heated it to 180 degrees celsius for 5 minutes, I used a multimeter with a thermal probe ... reballing or owen does not work, this chip has some balls below against repair, when they melt due to the heat they make contacts and need to be replaced...then i used a thermal silicone pad that is used in a pc graphics card...it's been 2 months and my tv still works yes the ceramic heatsink gets hot enough so yes I am thinking of upgrading it with some larger aluminum...
