Hello, has there been any improvement or change in the grinder of the Series 5500 EP5547/90 compared to the Series 5400 EP5441/55? The grinder of the Series 5400 was not capable of grinding fine enough for espresso, resulting in under-extracted drinks. From what I’ve seen, the grinder looks the same, doesn’t it?

Hello, i cant found any information about the 12 level ground system. How can i see if im on 12 or im on 1 ? Whats the difference between the level one and the 12th level ? Thank you. The manual could have been more explicit about that.

Accessing the Grinder Settings: Open the bean container lid and locate the grinder adjustment knob inside. 2. Adjusting the Grind Level: Turn the knob to adjust the grind size. The numbers on the knob indicate the grind level, with 1 being the finest and 12 being the coarsest. Difference Between Level 1 and Level 12: • Level 1 (Finest Grind): Produces a finer grind, which is ideal for espresso. This allows for a slower extraction, resulting in a richer and more intense flavor. • Level 12 (Coarsest Grind): Produces a coarser grind, suitable for lighter coffee drinks like a lungo. You can only adjust the grind settings when the espresso machine is grinding coffee beans and you shouldn't turn the grind setting knob more than one notch at a time to prevent damage to the grinder. Cet appareil présente un défaut majeur qui n’a jamais été mentionné dans toutes les vidéos et tests que j’ai pu voir. Je l’ai constaté sur deux machines successives : la première est partie en SAV pour ce problème, et la nouvelle reçue présente exactement le même défaut. Cela confirme qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un cas isolé, mais bien d’un défaut de conception. Lorsque la machine propose, par exemple, 15 cl de café et 15 cl de lait pour un total de 30 cl, elle délivre seulement 5 cl de lait, soit un total de 20 cl. Les repères du doseur Latego sont donc faux et inutilisables. Ce problème touche toutes les boissons lactées. C’est incompréhensible qu’aucun testeur n’ait relevé cette non-conformité flagrante. Les caractéristiques annoncées par Philips ne sont pas respectées, et il est inadmissible de proposer des dosages précis si le mécanisme ne suit pas. De plus, aucun moyen de recalibrer le volume n’est disponible. Une vraie déception pour une machine censée être fiable.

Hallo, danke für Deinen Kommentar. Handelt es sich bei Deiner Kaffeemaschine denn um ein Neugerät? Zu Beginn ist es nämlich normal, dass die ersten gebrühten Tassen wässrig sein können, da sich die Kaffeemaschine noch einspielen muss und Anpassungen vornimmt. Nach der Zubereitung von fünf bis sieben Tassen Kaffee werden die Kaffeepucks allerdings fester. Liebe Grüße 😊

don't waste your money, this machine makes absolutely piss-weak coffee. Even on the maximum settings with an extra shot of coffee, it's poor very watery. Disappointing is an understatement, it couldn't beat instant coffee if it tried.
