Just wondering if you can use the airfryer without the basket, so that I could fit a larger round pan in there.In that case, do I need to place something in between the star-shaped bottom and the pan?

I have the same problem. And the type of Philips Airfryer does not come up as an option and the wifi symbol is not on the screen of the fryer either, therefore it is not possible to connect the two, which is a bit disappointing, especially when it comes with a leaflet that advices you to pair the two devices through the nutri app.

Thanks for sharing, Hannam. This model has an automatic shut-off function. If you do not press a button within 20 minutes, the appliance switches off automatically. Hi Sue, thanks for your question. We would advise not to use parchment paper for the following reasons: 1) If you cover the bottom of the basket, the airflow inside the Airfryer is reduced. This results in the diminished cooking performance of your Philips Airfryer. 2) If you put baking paper or tin foil in the bottom of the pan where the grease and dirt are collected, the airflow will be disrupted and you will not get a good cooking result. 3) If you put baking paper or tin foil in your Philips Airfryer without placing food on it, the baking paper or tin foil could be sucked into the heater and could start to burn. Hope this explains.

Using oil in your Airfryer is not always necessary, however; adding oil is only necessary when you prepare homemade dishes from fresh ingredients that have not been pre-treated, such as freshly peeled potatoes or chicken. Hi Viv, thanks for reaching out to us regarding your Airfryer Premium. We are sorry to hear that your appliance has not switched on correctly and hope we can help! Kindly make sure that the drawer of your Airfyrer is closed completely. If the drawer is not closed completely the pan detection switch is not deactivated and therefore device does not start heating. Check also if too many appliances are plugged into the same socket, as then your Philips Airfryer might not work. You can unplug the other appliances or use another socket. We hope these suggestions help!

To dehydrate food, follow these steps: - Cut the food into thin slices and arrange them in a single layer on the Airfryer basket. - Set the temperature to 60°C and the time to 4 hours. You can adjust the time depending on the type and thickness of the food. - Check the food every hour and flip the slices if needed. - When the food is dry and crisp, turn off the Airfryer and let the food cool down before storing it in an airtight container.
