Then you haven’t looked in the right places b/c the information is out there and always has been. The only you possibly missed it is by believing they would discover it and tell you the truth about it. They believe in evolution mainly, also you must have forgot who the prince of the air is and that until Christ returns he is still the one controlling the world (except for Christians who are set apart and marked by God thanks to His Son and through the Holy Spirit dwelling in us). Remember in John 20:29 where Christ tells Thomas “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” The faith of us who have believed is counted as stronger and has a reward on top of the robe of salvation, as another reward for those who look and yearn for His return, once we are in Heaven at the judgement of the world. Lastly do not forget that one of the main themes throughout the OT and the New that “upset” God the most was people always looking for a sign (proof, miracles,etc) to verify Him and His Son. Don’t let the evil forces of this world drag you down, pollute your mind, put doubt in your heart and rob you of the rewards waiting for you because you believed without ever seeing!

Excellent presentation. One thing that should be mentioned about the “Sea Peoples”. Around 1200 BC Santorini was destroyed by its volcano which caused a monstrous tidal wave throughout the Mediterranean. Most of the Hellenistic world lived close to the sea including Greece and Crete. Their cities would have been destroyed and those who survived were immediately without food and shelter. An excellent opportunity to try out new lands like Canaan.

Most likely some sort of catastrophe maybe even a volcanic eruption as you say that led to famine and then rebellion, most Mycenean cities were burned. Then the different tribes banded together and became Seafaring Marauders (Sea Peoples). Seems most of these tribes came from Sardinia (Sherden) Sicily (Shekelesh) Greece, Crete, (Philistines-Peleset, Danites-Denyen, Tjekker) and they all settled in Canaan.

This is so great, makes so much sense, so glad you are doing these videos, I can't get enough of them - finishing up on the Genesis videos now, it all makes so much sense and is great for Apologetics, I think so many people get these concepts and ideas from the Bible wrong because they are looking at it through the lens of an English translation and through 20-21st Century lenses, the concept of Originalism is something many look at with the Constitution and Founding documents, but for some reason we refuse to use that same Originalism when it comes to the Bible, which is an ancient text written by an ancient people - if anything makes the scriptures more valid is that fact - that a book written by someone 2000+ years ago still speaks to our hearts today - thank you for doing this work!

I feel the bible is pretty clear historically. In Genesis it says that Canaan, Philistines, Egyptians, etc... all come from the line of ham. In the Aramaic Targum it states that the Philistines come from East of the Nile in Caphutkia or around modern day Damietta Egypt. It's been widely excepted by archaeologist and historians that the Minoans came from Northern Egypt migrating to Crete and other Agean Islands and their art and bronze etc is found in Egypt, Canaan, the levantine coast, and Anatolia. Might quite possibly be tied to Philistine culture.

There is no evidence of a Philstine presence in Palestine prior to 1200 BCE. The assumption, in the video, of "a series of waves" is not in evidence. The best you have is that the author/s of Genesis 26 were simply placing the present (David Time Period) Philistines of that area into the story of Abraham and Issac but the people who were there at that time were not Philistines - there is no need to posit a previous wave of Aegean peoples. The more likely reason the authors used the term Philistine in Gen.26 is that they thought them to be the descendants of the Egyptians who was of Ham as seen in Gen.10.

Yeah, the later Peleset/Pelasgian connections are very strong in my opinion. What's further is the Casluhim/Colchian and Cappadocian links as they are said to have originated up around Urartu and the Black Sea area. Hence, tying in to the story of the flood and Noah. I remember that there were numerous detractors of the Habiru/Hebrew links simply because of apparent etymological anachronisms. They would ignore all else and claim it to be unscholarly. Well, they did not squash it so keep going. You have an excellent series going on!

Bible is full of general catch all terms. Basically it castes a net and groups them under a umbrella A Fisher for example doesn't name every brand of sea creature his net holds he just says Fish. That's how these terms seem to be thrown around.

You failed to mention that today’s term, Palestine, is a Roman Latin word for Philistine. Some time in the second century, Roman Emperor Hadrian, dubbed Israel Palestine in order to infuriate the Jews, whom Hadrian loathed. If you know Greek is easy to see the name (πελταστής) Peltastis becoming Peleset in Egyptian and then Pelishti in hebrew. Peltastis in ancient Greek is the one that bares a shield and light armament.

The problem is that rather than saying they were later clarifications of an earlier (supposedly perfect) text. Its much more likely that Genesis was compiled much later and not written by Moses at all. Seriously how can the end of Deuteronomy describe the death and burial of moses if it was written by Moses? Take Genesis Chapter 5 "This is the book of the generations of adam..." This is a book within a book. It recounts the creation story in a different way. Plenty of evidence within the text that Genesis is a composite book by at least 4 different sources written much later. This is supported by most serious old testament scholars. You need to let the evidence speak for itself, rather than making it fit your preconceived narrative.

Amorites were people from the west. More specifically the word is of summerian origin The land of the Amurru. Mar.tu ("Westerners"). They were people west of sumer and west of the euphrates. They were syrians if you want to be really specific. They were mentioned (amor) by the Egyptians, Sumerians, Assyrians, and Akkadians so the hebrews just called them a name similar to what everyone else did, even though their land would've been north of Israel
