Good stuff! You’ll have a blast. I’m back here again but I’ll ride the Sydney Motorsports Park. Another video on the way...

LOL.. You had me right up until you cracked a Fosters at the end. Aussies dont tough the stuff. But hey, that aside, great video. I live in Melbourne and have done a few track days. Its the highlight of my year everytime and MEGA do a great job. Thanks for the video Lee.

You're certainly right about that. I had a tough time finding Fosters beer! Thanks for watching the vid.

Getting under 2 minutes for an amateur on his first time at the island. good job. The Island is all about flow. The whether can be crazy though. Plus the added excitement from the wildlife. Those suicide geese. I've seen so many guy's smashed up from them.

Thank you! I had a lot more trouble with the Sydney Motorsports Park this year. That is a much more challenging course to learn. PI is too but like you said once you get the flow it you can really move. Next time I go to Oz I need to get to The Bend near Adelaide. Have you ridden it?

@@leeridefar I do prefer Eastern Creek. Like you said, it's more technical. Turn 1 is frigging insane. I haven't ridden the Bend. I had a failed knee operation which left me with limited mobility and chronic pain. I sold all my track bikes and sports bikes and switched to riding a cruizer. XDiavel

Hey man thanks for all the detailed comments on speed and gearing with the BMW S1000RR. I'm doing my track day tomorrow and was combing through videos to see if anyone made note of it. Thanks again and I'll let you know how it pans out

So how did it go???

Ohh man, you were spot on. I went just before a holiday weekend and there were only about 30 people total. That allowed them to collapse everyone into 3 groups which gave us all 7 twenty minute sessions. Of course that BMW felt very at home there and there were plenty of people to help answer any questions you had about the track. When you sign up they'll send you an email with about 7 attachments that you should fill out ahead of time and anyone can witness the signatures. In addition to that paperwork, there will be a short form at the gate that you'll need to fill out before you can enter. I had my wife do some timing for me and I was perfectly happy staying in the 2:04s so not to have to feel like I'm risking too much and just have a good time. The gear you get is really really good, and they will track your time with a sticker that you put on your helmet. I did see them move at least one guy in my group down, so they're watching it. Turns out they have that track open about 300 days a year for all kinds of events, so there are lots of opportunities to get out there on 2 or 4 wheels. There's so my torque on that bike that I just stayed in gears 3-5, and the wheelie and TCS control on it is perfect to keep you in-line. All the riders rode very respectfully. Here are some of my sloppy laps, thanks again for the post. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXWmgWaGg5aVipI kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKLYn3iohN-Hfdk
