I'm glad KZbin fed this mic review to a few people as I know how hard it is to get views on a mic review, so happy to hear that James! The D4 is really great, and very diverse as you can see. I know my studio isn't set up for incredible sound, but it did quite a good job, as you can hear, the closer you get get the shotgun to your mouth the better. Thanks James, from Poland!

haha, I had such a long day, I was thinking to myself, what the hell am I saying lol! Output of course. The DJI Mic is fully wireless, and can be used with shotgun mics such as the Deity D4 to create a wireless boom situation, you have to be careful how you position them together, as there can be radio interference between them, so worth checking with a pair of headphones. Great review Philip and in time too. Been trying to figure out how to record when flying my DJI Mini 2 ( ambient sounds) and got. Rode Me-L. Going to attach it to a back up iPhone. However, this little Deity pack seems good too. Glad you did a bit of a demonstration with this…. Hope all is well with you and the fam and goals for the year are moving forward. Keep at it….

Hey Phillip. Thx for the information and facts about the Mic. I´m using a Sony 6400 and as far as i know, it´s equiped with a micro-usb-port. The included cable is usb-c. Any chance to connect the mic via usb to the sony 6400? Or is the on-off-feature also working, if the mic will be connected via the 3,5mm-Plug?

I am under the impression the battery has to be inside at all times for this mic to work, it didn't even come to me to try it without the battery installed, but that is an interesting question!

Yes, that's direct to the camera on the hot shoe, no additional attachments, and it would no doubt sound a lot better in a treated room, my studio space has an echo from hell haha.

@@miksvillamor Well, the sound really depends on your setup as well as how close you are to the microphone. As you can see, it sounds a lot deeper and cleaner when I used it as a VO mic, but I was so close to it that it made a huge difference.

Yes, much like with the Rode usb mini I use, no latency in the earphones.
